I think it's gonna be that every backer tier gets it on the same day, but the official public release won't be until a week later. Considering even people who pay $2 are going to be getting it day 1, it's basically guaranteed that it will leak here shortly after.

Judging by the post about 5.5 it might be a good idea to wait until the hotfix, that's what i'm gonna do.
Yeah was planning on a fresh playthrough for the update, but think i'll hold off for the hotfix
Regarding waiting/not waiting for the hotfix, here is a quick guide!
If you are in just for Ginny & Grace smut (and the main story content), go for it!
If you also want to fully delve into the LORE, read every single piece of side content dialogue, and check all the side renders, then I would wait!
The hotfix will be out shortly (a day or two, if nothing major gets found)!
