The discussion isn't really about the game though, it's about perception and how games work. Hardly a topic exclusive to SI.
It's not racist at all. It's a recognition that skin colours are likely to change in the future, and paler skinned people will become increasingly scarce, as will very dark skinned people. Browner skin colours will be the norm in the future. I think the Devs just got it wrong by depicting everyone as black. They should have given the characters a middle-eastern type look.
How many white people consider tanned skin to be attractive? So just think of it, as people having permanently tanned skin. Which in a warming world, with a lot more hot, sunny weather, would be a genetic advantage.

Sigh, another year and a lot of art but no game announcement. Oh well, it's not like I'm paying for it so I can't complain too much. Still was a great game, and it would have been fun to see how it all ended.

Imagine still arguing about a throwaway comment I made back in 2023, which I had forgotten about until someone recently reacted to it. To clarify, when engaging in self-pleasure, I prefer to self-insert. Having a personal preference does not make me a racist. In hindsight, I could have phrased it better. I hope this provides the closure you apparently desire, considering how long this discussion seems to have gone on for.

As for the last year and the next year, life has been complex for all three of us on the SI team. There's been a lot of sick time, job changes, moving houses, new careers, getting married, kids, and more.
In the midst of all this we decided to also redo the entirety of Episode 10 as it was in progress, but was not the finale... now Episode 10 is the finale for not just the season but the entire game.
is the game finish entirely or did you left some things unfinished because the episode 10 is still in testing

Well, at least it's getting a finale instead of being dropped, at least. I'd rather have the full game personally, but RL gets in the way, I get it.

I wouldn't say this game was woke garbage. Certainly different for sure in terms of MC selection. Same time though there was certainly major skill issues in terms of writing, storytelling, and naturally the general 'putting out actual worthy updates that mattered.' Because let's be honest... there was no true pull to this game. There was no grip or true bite that make your want to play more. Chapters 1-3 to some measure had that bit of world building and promise, but after that it was all over the place with everything.

Bravo! I believe this is the best thumbnail encapsulation of this "Epic" Space Opera that never quite made it, in spite of quite a bit of polish and image creation. Too bad to, as I had great hopes for it. Story counts for so much.
Still I would like to see the Devs wrap it up with a final chapter than leave all the loose ends hanging as it is now.

I can see an argument for casual misandry, but beyond that I didn't really see it.

The use of pronouns and all the genders shenanigans are clear signs of woke mentality. It's sad to see people accept passively all kinds of bullshit without batting an eye.

If it were among humans, I'd agree. Given that it's other races, however, I could see the argument for having it. There's no way to know whether other genders would be a possibility if races developed along different evolutionary lines. Signs of "woke mentality" in nature: oysters change genders; certain frogs change genders; some animals are asexual; male seahorses carry eggs after the female lays them; female black widow spiders eat the males after they have mated; etc. So if other races were evolved from animal species different from mammalian, it's not exactly a stretch to think those races might carry some of the characteristics forward to their evolved descendants.
I'm obviously absolutely not saying anyone has to like them. Everyone has different views on various things. But for the record, these types of themes have existed long before woke was even a term, so this is nothing new. I do find it puzzling why you're continuing to follow this thread if you hate the game so much.
