I suppose the issue with that is we're seeing everything from the male perspective, and most (all, even) of the stuff you're referring to would be on the female side, so hidden from us. Otherwise, on a cheating path, the MC does slowly uncover lies that she's told and things that she's done, although they are not necessarily all obvious, and even fewer of them are addressed.
I mean yeah we're only confined to male perspective but i think still there were space to pull of these things
