I never said it was in this thread or called anyone out specifically. Generally speaking....I was just simply pointing out that it was her first go at this is all
True, it's her first time, and that's why
I still like the game for what it is in the end -
despite failing at what it tries to be.
Stay Online has the benefit and advantage over most other phone games because it still uses Daz3D models, and not "AI-slop" renders that make these games indistinguishable from one another. That is a big reason why I still find enjoyment in it.
However, even just these 2 branches of the game have proved too much for the dev on their first time, and part of the reason why could be traced back to their development methods:
- hard-coding text into renders is a huge limiting factor (I would even call it a mistake), as typo's and grammatical errors can't even be fixed retroactively without a lot of effort & time.
- NTR path turns out to be a reduction of the NTS path - which, being logical in some aspects (PoV should be limited), is completely illogical in others; Game Over's are bad design, and never include them into your AVNs as they undermine the core principle of 'make a choice' gameplay mechanic.
- In addition to a potential Game Over, the MC on the NTR path is a silent protagonist - his purpose in the story devolves almost entirely to that of a visual pass-through device for the player. Even if you added internal monologue to him, his role would not change significantly - but at least there would be justification for his "lack" of action in the given situation.
All in all, I want what's best for the game, and to see it thrive. These are constructive criticisms I've given to the game since 0.7 - which I know LadyLana read (
as she does appear on the forums here & there) - yet purposefully ignored for 0.8, 0.9, and 0.95. That makes it clear she either doesn't agree, or refuses to acknowledge these issues with her fans.
