Yes play through the intro and you will be able to see the quest log and traverse the world. God damn that opening scene will never get old!
I have the same problem as you spoils the game for me. I'm not even using the compressed version I wonder if there is a simple fix for it.

Nah not really something wrong. It’s probably some easy fix, setting wrong. But I sadly don‘t know enough about renpy
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes the animations are working fine. It is just the scenes when the camera moves up Riley's body it is split into 3 parts.
press shift g then click on force angle2 renderer restart game and should be fixed
