Adult visual novels also have their own genres.
If the game is about a
male protagonist, it’s usually not a big deal to skip one or even all sexual encounters. That’s because those scenes often don’t affect the character or story too much. Romance is simpler, and the plot is easier to manage.
But that’s
not the case with a
female protagonist, where the main theme is usually
corruption. I don’t know how many times I have to explain this. If someone still doesn’t understand after all these messages, then I think they just want to start drama – yes, I’m looking at you, little strawberry.
If you let the player skip
all the sexual scenes, some will do it – and then the story won’t make sense anymore, because you’ve removed the
core theme, which is the corruption of the main character.
Sure, it’s possible to make an alternative path like that, but it would need a lot of extra scenes and renders. Basically, a whole separate storyline. That's why the game is not for everyone. That's why all games forces you to do certain things.
We want to finish the game in
2026, and if we added endless choices, we’d never get it done. That’s what real "milking" would be. I need to think about it.
