It's so that it gets ALL the options back on par with eachother. It would also make them have to make more variations to each storyline. More animations means more time and I also believe the dev stated they don't want people to miss out on scenes regardless of what choices they make. It seems they don't want some people to be on a Dean or Ivy or Elijah path that's further along than other people would get.

I think people are missing the point of the update. It's a small update between the big updates. That's what it was meant to be. It was also an outlet to tie up all the loose ends left by the last episode. If you went home with Ivy at the end of the last episode then it would make no sense for the Dean to fuck you in the library. The update just catches up all the stories so that the next time they get continuations it'll make more sense. I know it's a porn game but knowing how passionate the dev is about the characters and the story, it makes sense.
That said, I'm guessing that the Wyatt scene was animated by a new team member. Riley's face in these scenes seemed a tad off. It was still good but it definitely had slightly different expressions.
I will also say that I'm glad the swingers from the yacht are being added into the story. Samantha is smokin.

And that's why you have different scenes depending on if you fucked Dean Scott or went home with Ivy or blew Elijah.
Oooooor the devs could have made it so the scene with Dean Scott at the park was just making out and some fingering/handjob and the petting/maybe a blowjob would have seemed like a progression rather than a regression.

They have to drag the game/story somehow to fish out till the next sex happens which would probably be 2-3 updates away based on the history.

For being one of the smaller updates, this was a 6 of 10 update, I think. It's not as bad as people make it out to be, but I think some of the criticism is valid.

Fingering and handjobs are a little.. tame, for where Riley is at.

Wyatt's scene could've used a second phase or so, especially when it's going to be a repeatable. It felt a little short and underwhelming. Other than that, hot scene.

DnD / Fantasy scenes are just.. meh. It's like dream scenes - it's just not something that really happens to Riley, so there's no appeal at all in that for me personally. It does "fill" the game though and it's good practice in case the dev wants to venture into the fantasy genre at some point? ;-)

If the next one is a smaller one again, I will probably just sit it out and wait for 5.0. See ya next year, I guess!

Where is Riley at? She really hasn't done much and is far from the town whore. Suddenly having her getting fucked by everyone would make very little sense and it's way to early for that. The dean hasn't broken her so it would make sense for him to proceed at a steady unrushed pace. So this update makes a lot of sense and is perfectly paced.

Between the last update, if I remember correctly, they added 3 new artists, one is already gone. The others should still be there. It takes time to adapt the art still, lighting and other things in the renders. I think that's why some renderings look different than the previous ones. With time it will get better and we can expect a faster development time.

I hope they get the face right at least. Because it was clearly off and looked weird.

True, I've noticed that too, but the animations are decent, as are the renders. The only thing I'm hoping for is a much more compelling and content-rich next update. I thought there would be a lot of content with around 1200, but it's barely enough to play. It's true that there are some extra scenes, like the VR one, but it's still very short.

Devs in general, or at least in this case, don't make the game thinking about what people on this forum can access; uploads here are posted by users and placed on 3rd party sites. The compressed versions are made and provided by users who donate their time.
