This turned out to be a brilliant recommendation, thank you! I loved the main game and all three side stories. It takes ancient Greek and pagan mythology and thoroughly shits on them, but in a very entertaining sort of way

This one has such rave reviews, I decided to give it a shot. It starts with a prominent disclaimer that all sexual content depicted is consensual and then, literally in the opening scene, MC rapes a girl. I mean... wow.
Yeah this one in my opinion the best written fantasy VN yet great dev too but due to personal issues the updates are very slow I hope he keeps continuing to update rather than abandoning it like a lot of devs do I wish he could work on it full time but without supports it's a luxury not a lot of devs can afford.This turned out to be a brilliant recommendation, thank you! But it's set in a dystopian settings so it is to be expected but later in the story the same girl admits that she wanted it

True most AVNs have porn logics so they can show you the lewd stuff it's a cliche
The forced stuff i understand it's not for everyone and everyone has their own preferences but they had to put those and violence in for the setting

Unlike what porn logic (and porn games) would suggest, PIV (penis-in-vagina) is faaaar from being the only form of sex. After all, it's called oral sex for a reason
Sure, but that doesn't invalidate my point. If that was the only rape in the game I could maybe get past it, but 10 minutes later the MC is given a slave who - by definition - cannot consent, making all scenes with her rape.
I don't mean to kink shame anyone at all. Hell, I know people IRL who have rape fantasies. But it's a massive turn-off to me personally, so I guess Desert Stalker isn't for me

Apart from an intriguing story with widely different paths this also has two deduction parts that where enormously fun to play. Sadly abandoned though.
If you liked Reluctant Archon you'd probably enjoy Love of Magic as well. Seriously, this is a tremendous list and saves me a great deal of time that I would have otherwise wasted playing through bad games.
One key feature of good writing in adult games is _eroticism_, which can greatly enhance sex scenes, but can (and should!) also be present in scenes that lack any sex at all. Another is complex, dynamic, and strong female LIs, who think for themselves and don't conform to porn tropes or logic. In fact, I'd say both of these features are present in all of my favourite games.
I'm also tempted to suggest that you (or your opposite number) start a list of terrible porn game tropes that must be avoided at all cost: e.g. porn logic, magic giant penis, cardboard cutout female LIs, mechanical sex, 'progression' sex tropes, parallel LIs who never seem to encounter each other.

It was quite fascinating to watch as a non-American.Agreed, and I'm thrilled to have submitted this thread. I've discovered a whole bunch of games that fit these criteria.
The trouble is, 95% of games on F95 have more than a few instances of such terrible tropes, it's hardly worth the effort. I'd much rather curate a list of the good ones
Don't know how I missed that! The writing there is really quite good, I just wish updates were a tad more frequent

Alison Fall Of the Apple has nice story
Alternate Existence is quite good as well
Alexandra is very well done in my opinion
Bare witness-I'd say the romance part has really nice emphasis on it here
Deliverance has cool story and characters
Heavy Five is really good in not being driven by porn logic,some say it's the best game ever,for me it's pretty good,worth playing
MIST is really good in terms of story and characters
Promises-only 1st update out,but It seems promising
Reluctant Archon-nice urban fantasy
Sanguine Rose is amazing in terms of writing
Shale hill Secrets is nicely done overall and has interesting characters
Single again- really nice slow burn with cool characters

OK, I've been playing it for a while now and it's really quite good! Is this scene a reference to Close your eyes and think of England? Wow
So for my money, the most intriguing game your thread has uncovered so far is _Nothing is Forever_. I worry about the complexity of the morality/semi-RPG system, and whether the Dev can maintain the same level of quality throughout development. But there's real eroticism at work in the writing, and the dialogue with some of the women is (A) fairly realistic and (B) not banal. I'm pretty happy with that discovery.
I like _Light of my Life_, particularly the non-traditional (and more realistic and lovely) body shapes and artwork, but the whole stepfather/stepdaughter romance thing... is not my thing. Perhaps I can swallow it with the older stepdaughter... maybe... but certainly not with the younger one. Horses for courses.
There's nothing yet that rises to the level of the top two games in your signature -- _Hillside_ and _Corporate Culture_, though. Those games are really unusual, particularly in terms of the thought and care that went into creating the main female LIs (or whatever Elsa is... please, God, make her an LI.)

Well, yeah, Hillside and Corporate Culture are in a league of their own, far outside what normally passes for "adult" games.
I definitely want Elsa to be an LI, but perhaps not to Edward? If that makes sense? Maybe if he goes through a dramatic bout of self-improvement? I would want it to be realistic, and so far, as Edward had so elegantly put, he is "an asexual blob" to Elsa

In my opinion its very story-driven, but i get the vibe the DEV wants too much... wouldnt be the first game that grows way over the head of the DEV because he wants too much... but if he can pull it off, this will be a great one in the future.
There is already plenty content, with some thrill too. And its clear, there will be very different endings in the future... the choices you make matter in my opinion, even the little ones. Huge plus... The sound and music is ok, the overall look is decent enough, but stand no chance against the more popular games around here.
I would recommend to try it out, and than add to watchlist until there is much more updates available. Cause the story needs to be present in your mind i think if you continue... it would be better to play this game when its complete i think... bbut to know if you like it, you can try it out and watch until its complete i would say... i really liked it so far.
