Nah, I'll pass. Honestly, THAT to me, sounds like the personification of hell. THAT sounds like something I don't want to do. I would MUCH rather struggle through doing something I don't really like doing, than waste my time and effort on something I don't care about, and have no investment in, and really just don't give a shit about, for the sake of "learning to work together" or "future success" or any of that nonsense.

If I wanted success, my previous post would have been serious and not a joke. If I want to toil away my time on something I don't care at ALL about, well, that's what a real job is for. This? Yea I hate doing the art, but I care about the project as a whole, and that's why I do it. Spending time doing that short story stuff, writing stores I don't care about, don't want to do, and really REALLY have no interest in? THAT to me is hell. What I'm doing now? It's just frustrating.

Who said you have to do something you don't want to? It was just a tip from someone who was once in your place. They never made things they didn't want to do, but started with something small to test if they could actually work together. If you only want to tell this story you're trying to tell, you still can find someone interested in partnering with you. She has actually found two 'someones' during her career, so it's a totally feasible thing. Of course it takes time, but if you prefer to spend that time struggling to create some low-end art instead, it's your call.

I always passed on Healslut because I had the impression that it was a male MC that is playing as a female MMO character. That seemed too gay for me. I recently did some reading through the thread and it seems like you can pick between male and female MC, right? So I could pick a female MC who is playing as a female game character. I could deal with that. That said, I always get a bit wary in games that offer too many sexual orientations in the tags, as the primary fetish and sexual content is often based on gender play, something I don't particularly enjoy.

If I were to play this one, I would play it mostly as a female protag corruption game I guess. I prefer male dom vibes, so I almost always go for submissive choices in those female protag games. Is there a decent amount of content for this type of run?

Yes, there is a gender choice at the start, male or female nerd. Both get transformed soon enough, you can choose between woman, futa or trap.

There is some pretty hardcore female submission in it, I actually discovered a new fetish of mine by checking an alternative route where the MC is put in a cage, gets most of her hair shorn off and hooked up to a milking machine. Consistent maledom maybe not so much, but there are guys who want to take advantage of the MC. You probably want to take the loot puppy path, the public use path and check the guide for your ideal LI. I don't think there's a male LI available early on, the two guys in the party are gay.

Yes! Lel is very interesting. Her persona is very porny, but it doesn't feel out of character somehow. Her IRL identity is the game's greatest mystery for me, and a big part of why I'm so hooked

And beside that, also why she has the kind of low view of herself that she's so open to being brutally abused like that by fucking NPCs of all things.

There is a shit ton of male (and male adjacent) dom to subject MC to. In fact, most of the content is like that. You'd have to actively try and avoid it, like I do

That game is pretty decent in my books. It's not the best writing in terms of prose or technical skills, but I love those video clips at the end of each chapter. It definitely has the young adult TV show vibes. A bit like a CW superhero show I guess. Now that could be taken as a negative lol, but I found it enjoyable.

I skimmed through the walkthrough real quick to get an idea. What do you suggest on the Lel decision? It seems like you can be the sole looter or share the duties with Lel, depending on what you do with the succubus. I don't really like losing characters, but sharing duties with Lel seems like it's very voluntary. Getting her killed would force you into the role I think? That seems more fun... But I don't want to lose a party member either lol. Anyways, does this distinction impact the scenes?

Do I turn him into a knight? Do I act nice to him? Would he cockblock trying to protect her if they become too close friends? If I treat him badly, does he also act dominating towards her?

This is a major spoiler, don't click unless you're sure: Lel's death isn't permanent. If you want to become the sole loot puppy, go for it.

Wejit is just a good, loyal friend. Your treatment of him doesn't really affect your sexual options.

Btw, Derealization is pretty amazing if anyone wants to check it out. The development is pretty damn slow and it's still very early in the story though. What sets it apart is the visual story telling. It probably has the highest render count to text ratio of any games on here. Characters come alive on the screen with all their gestures and realistic movement.

It has some grammar issues, but it wasn't the type of Engrish that significantly detracts from characterization or dialogue flow. The tone and subject matter is pretty heavy, so give it a pass if you are not up for themes dealing with mental issues and depression.

Anyways, I've got good news, and I've got bad news.

The good news is that I finished Life With Mary, really loved it a lot. The bad news is that, to quote one of my two best friends, I have the memory of a fucking gnat, not a goldfish, a gnat, and I forgot to write down my thoughts sadly. I can tell you that I ended up with Mary, and I found the ending satisfying. Oh, and I was surprised that the older man who essentially became my second best friend after Mary turned out to be sort of a creep. I was really rooting for him to end up with Mary's mother for a long time. He probaby has my favorite line in the game too, which was something along the lines of mostly regretting the things that he didn't do.
