Whats more whack is Sorcerer is on the list, I mean don't get me wrong I love the game. Up there on my list of games for sure. But its weird to see on a "story focus" list. Initial it was pretty story heavy but then MC literally dicks every female he meets, negotiations? Dicking, need to pretend a fight? Dick em. They scenes were spammed towards the last few releases, and felt out of place. It breaks creteria #3 and #5 (every female character want MC's magical di- I mean genes).

That's your playthrough. My Alexander was only ever interested in Miyuki. To be fair, the sex scenes in Talothral's games are very bad and I always fast-forward through them, so it's easier for me to miss the porny bits.

Dev seemed a bit receptive to my criticism at least.I just played it. The lengths the dev seem to go to avoid upsetting the delicate sensibilities of the people on that thread is... sad. There are multiple choices to cater to these people and it always, always comes at a cost. In this case, it ruins both the story and the characters.
We've been told repeatedly that vampires are very loose and open with their sexuality, with no real attachments and a taste for public sex. So, why is it an option to not see anything in a scene where an orgy is explicitly mentioned to be taking place?
Likewise, Leyala's agency as a person is entirely discarded for catering to these people. She has no opinions, no strongly held beliefs on anything! She's just a glorified sex doll at this point. You can say to her "I want to finger you in front of the entire vampire court" and she'll say oh sure, no big deal. You can also tell her not to do anything sexual and suddenly, she's "yeah, I wouldn't have been comfortable with that anyway." Which is it? What does she think?

Naturally, I agree. A LI whose will and desires are always subordinated to the MC's preferences destroys the integrity of the character. From my point of view, a game with a LI like that does not fit the story-first genre, particularly as jufot defines it.

It is a shame, I really liked the other parts of the update. Particularly the talk with Ophelia. That choice is a really good one that does not have an obvious answer. Is Ophelia telling the truth (there are many indications that she is)? Why is she telling this now? Is this choice going to come back to Lucius? And so on.

Agreed. I chose to believe Ophelia, mostly because I don't like Lucius. The flashbacks we've seen from Atlas' POV show us that Effie really did suffer and Lucius could have prevented it, he just chose not to. Further, Ophelia notes the power differential between her and Lucius, and how it's not so easy to say no to the king. That rings true to me.
You can ignore most of the Khaganate management elements by turning them off in the Settings screen. I believe they also matured since the first release, and I continue to improve them with every update.

Yeah the scenes weren't great and I used the multimod with walkthrough since I hate having to replay games for "true endings" where it was likely some random binary choice 12 chapters ago shit, my play-through had me hooked at the start with good world building and premise and the MC doesn't a dumbass (surprisingly rare in porn games) and seemed legit, a bit too John wick-y but better than the alternative. But as it went further in, it started to become very VERY "meet X person high in chain of command", if gender == female, fuck the NPC. Go next.
Mad world dev is active is one of the best news I have had in a while, currently I am praying that Revenant scratches the itch of "Secret Magical world co-existing with the modern world in plain sight" genre.
Love of Magic is one of the best Urban Fantasy games in here,The Seven Realms is a good one too. Then of course you have Rebirth,which is about vampires.

I do like (real) gameplay elements in my games. If you are putting in the work, I am not looking to disable that huge portion of the game. I just wait until the game is completed or very far along if it's not a classic VN.

The first thing you'll notice is the graphics. It's... well, it's a mix of Microsoft Paint and clipart from Office 97
What's it about, then? It's a summer camp for college-aged boys and girls. Klondike is run by a strict headmistress who does not want shenanigans in her domain. Obviously, horny teenagers have other plans. Some (like our MC) are new to the camp, and some have known each other for years, allowing for some interesting dynamics. The writing is quite good, and often hilarious.
So far, so ordinary. What makes the game special is how it cares for its characters. At its core, Klondike is an exploration of sexuality and kink. It does so with humour, realism and finesse, without resorting to cheap objectification.
There are scant concessions for porn logic, if any. The girls are almost all sexually experienced to various degrees, while MC's experience is limited to being on the cover of a sex manual and some... unfortunate attempts at exploration with aquatic equipment
One of my biggest pet-peeves in AVNs is the poor quality of sex writing. Watching characters repeatedly smash their bits does absolutely nothing for me. You could create the most intricate, photorealistic renders, but without eroticism I'll likely yawn and fast-forward. Klondike gets eroticism right. One girl narrates her extremely hot experience about getting fucked on a nude beach, another enjoys mutual masturbation with the MC in the wee hours of the night, yet another has some rough play time with the MC in a cave. Kinks are explored, voyeurs and exhibitionists discover themselves.
And everything happens without reducing anyone to their body parts. These are people who care about being seen and understood, not merely used. They communicate. Boundaries exist, and are respected. One of the girl's first sex scene with the MC includes a quick chat about how exactly she likes and doesn't like to be touched. Such a stark contrast to the "just stick it in" we've come to expect. Condoms are a thing! MC and a girl decide not to go for PIV despite being very much in the heat of the moment because they realize neither of them brought a condom.
It's not just MC's interactions, either. One of the girls - the one closest to MC - helps out another guy in a sexual situation. It's meant as an act of kindness for a friend, is received as such, and no one gets jealous or possessive. Yet another guy has feelings for yet another girl, and MC plays wingman to both. Some girls are actual lesbians (not "men with breasts", as Tlaero would say), and have no interest in the MC.
