Overall, you can assume this to be pretty vanilla. No crazy stuff. It wouldn't fit with the story. This has sexual content in it but its definitely content you have to work for or be patient. It's very much a slow burn and its more rewarding that way when it does happen. Theres reasons for all of that in the story.

I'm just not interested in putting tags up because if people see the tags, then they're gonna bitch at me for how long they have to play the game to see those scenes. I dealt with most of that feedback early on and I'm glad the game went the direction that it did rather than me caving to the masses. Otherwise it would be like every other adult clone sex game out there.
Fair enough.

I need to go back and play through the whole thing again. The characters are relatable and it reminds me of earlier times in life where I have been hung up in my own head. I wish that there were Braden's out there in the early years, but the attitudes have changed so much in such short time. I appreciate the slice of life/reality for the character's premise as the story. I think the team put out a really deserved update on this game and I am anticipating the next update (that's right, back to work!) and what occurred in the last part of the story.

I am really appreciative of the 'normal' porn games here on the site, but this story (and community) is one of the biggest reasons I check in so often. Just glad to know there are others who enjoy it too.

(Totally joking for no reason: Now how about we get an NTR tag in this game and make it a flame war thread lol)

Take Care All. :):ROFLMAO:
I'm honestly going to join you on the reread because I gotta start gearing up again to do the blueprints for the next segment and I want this to read fairly tightly. This update made some people cry and that means a lot from a writing standpoint. I'll also echo your sentiment on the community aspect. The priority of the story on this game has certainly attracted a different type of fanbase that I think is far superior to the whims of primal sexual gratification. Because of the ups and downs of the story, people genuinely have had emotional reactions and they share their personal stories. Hell, the damn Discord server turns into a support group half the time which is quite honestly a dream and part of that vision I originally had when we dumped this genre on its head. No regrets.

the cliffhanger fucked me
If it's any consolation, it was hard for us too. The last scene was the last thing I wrote for this update. I've been dreading that for a year now. Work on that animation took 9 months to build.... and I'll admit to several times of wanting to just scrap it, just because I didnt wanna do that to the story. But I honestly think that's why it had to happen. It hurts the writers too. We'll get through it though :)

I don’t think, I know for sure - I love this story

it’s very cool that you find new artistic techniques to reflect feelings. at first you don’t even understand what has changed in the scene, but then you notice, and the smile appears by itself, it’s amazing.

I do not speak English, I write messages using a Google translator. I pass the game of course the same ^^. messages probably look awkward. I just want to tell you that I am very glad that once I literally came across this forum and met this story! Immerse yourself in it with your head. It is very easy to believe in her. This is a real work of art. It’s amazing and exciting to watch you make it bigger, better and deeper. I hope someone from Netflix sees this game, and offers you to make the series ^ - ^ (dreams, just dreams, though sometimes they come true). Of course, I look forward to continuing. Thank you very much.

As a person who's played through this game, but also more porn-centered games as well. If you open yourself up to the characters then there are a few scenes in this that have no actual porn that are (to me) every bit as arousing as porn. Like a subtle kind of arousing. Where the fact that you care about the characters and the context of the scene creates an infectious sexual tension. Skillfully done.

Aww, honestly the non-native English speaking fans mean a lot to me. I have a lot of respect for those who actually take the extra time to try and run this through a translator just to play it. There's a lot of dedication there--especially for how long this game is. I also see you on here constantly liking posts so I appreciate that. That's support to me and it means a lot. I hope the game continues to speak to you. And thanks for the pic share, that's one of my fav pics in the entire game. I love that moment.

I really tried to capture that. I think there's a level of sexual intimacy that comes from actually knowing the characters. We see countless examples of that happening in this game. The kiss in this game hits like a truck compared to kisses in other games that drop in v0.01 and end up becoming meaningless because everything happens so fast. I think the tease is almost hotter in some regards. But that's just me.

IT GOT UPDATED!!! <3
Can't wait to play :p
Hope you guys enjoy :)

I think this "game" lacks the required influenceability by the player to the story to be considered a game per se. Anyway, I don't really think that's bad. To be honest, when the game starts being really engaging is on part 2, when it stops pretending to be a game and really starts embracing what it really is: an interactive story in which the only effect the player has is to decide the order in which some events happen. The events before that try to create the illusion of the player being able to get a different outcome giving us more options and forcing us to choose the correct one to progress in the story. That repetitivity on the beginning made me skip most of the text of the beginning, just because it felt like regardless of whatever I choose I wasn't making any progress, so I only bothered reading the things that looked different.

The thing changed when I arrived to the part where I could stop choosing between going class or skipping class and the few options I had to choose started giving me an illusion of autonomy. Yes, I had less choices to make, but the few choices I had to make felt like they mattered. It stopped feeling like a loop. It let me started feeling a connection with the story and the characters.

At that point is when I started to learn that Zack (whom I feel identified more than I would like to admit) is a complete mess full of insecurities, that Braden isn't just a prize we as players try to win, that Mikhail has more insecurities than he lets us see, and that even Max (alias Mom-fucker) has his good side. That point is where I really started to care about what happened more than in how to progress.

I already played the game about a year ago, and even if this time I cared more about the characters and even I chose to play the game from the beginning I just skipped most of the first part (again), I just couldn't avoid it. That happened until I arrived to the point where choices started feeling like they mattered (even if I know most of them don't). That's when I started to read EVERY SINGLE WORD. I just couldn't help it. Even if I know what was happening I was just too into it to not read it all.

Now, after finishing all the current content I'm at a point where I want more. The end of the current content was too... drastic. I know they'll go through it as long as they are together. I know it is harsh and it probably wasn't easy for you to make them go through it. I only hope they can keep being roommates.

TLDR: The beginning feels like a loop where most of choices don't matter, it gets way better when it stops pretending to be a game. Keep working hard ;)

PD: I read in your Patreon page that this project is your first time working with 3D art. Is there any advice or tutorial that helped you when you started trying to get something decent in DAZ Studio?

There are two types of VN: one like this game, where the choice has almost no effect on the plot, others where the choice directly leads to different consequences, but in this case you lose a significant part of the whole plot, and in order to find out the whole story, you have to go through game several times. It's not bad and not good, it's just two different ways to tell a story. :)

Oh is it not much of a sex game then?
Not really. It's a story-based game, and while there will be sexual scenes eventually (or they might already be in there, it's updated a few times since I last played), they really aren't the focus. That said, it's surprised a lot of people who didn't expect to get invested in the story, so feel free to try it out. Just be aware that there's pretty minimal (if any) actual sex involved at the moment, and it takes its time building up to it.

I liked this update.
Since the author created two routes, he could create a path to a Bromance ending, and the pervert being a path to a Gay ending.
I hope it keeps heating up with the progress of the updates, always the beginning of something sexual that ends in half (Sad).

I'll admit that i'm not a big fan of the beginning of the game but a lot of people like that gameplay. Basically, I created the game along the lines of most of the adult games at the time. In time, i learned that I didn't like that format and the grinding was annoying to me so i moved away from it and went more in line with a style that came naturally to me--which is where the story really kicks in imo. The early dialogue is still important imo because it still gives development and dynamics to the characters and more of that stuff will come back in play later hopefully if things go well.

In terms of the drastic nature of the last update--it was necessary. We saw similar drastic endings during the shower lie where Zack tells Mikhail about the "girlfriend." The ending is necessary and i'm glad once things started to pick up that you got sold on the character development.

I liked this update.

The ending is still planned but it will only probably be one ending for all the routes. There's a reason for this but the choices in the game will impact things before they hit the end of the game

You and your bloody cliffhangers...

Awesome as always Aaryn. Thank you!
If it makes a difference: I'm sorry :p

Has anyone had problems with the sound or am I the only one with this problem?
There's no sound yet. The game is still in production and sound will be the last thing added. We're still working on soundtrack ideas and I'm not going to rush that.
