Hi Aaryn

I just wanted to say thanks for what you've created (are creating) here. As a writer, I must say that the writing is beautiful, often almost poetic, which for me puts the game in a completely different class to most I've come across on here (which to be fair is not that many). I found the depth of the philosophical and psychological insights amazing, and it's been a reminder to me to appreciate the wonders of what I've got in life, and also an encouragement to keep writing things that encourage and promote the gay and bisexual community.

I look forward to seeing where you go with this.

Thank you for the kind words. It always means a lot when someone who identifies as a writer compliments this. It's very much a first attempt for me and I did it anonymously so I could be honest as well as not embarass my damn self if it sucked. lol. but I'm glad it comes across that way... "poetry" is a pretty humbling word to use to describe this and that just means a lot to me so thank you.

Also, i wish you luck with your own work. I find it daunting sometimes but it can be really rewarding when it speaks to other people and you can't beat that

I have been through the update. I was going to write my impressions several times, but because of the events happening in my country, and in my life too, I never get around to it. so I will just say again that I love your work very much. I'm worried about the characters as if they were people close to me. now I'm even more worried about Cody ^^. and of course, thank you very much for continuing to make the game available for free. sorry for the translation ^-^

No worries at all. Don't feel obligated to check in. I'm easy going. Just hope you enjoyed it. Sounds like you have some heavy shit going on so I hope it gave you a little bit of a distraction from real life. I do wish you the best though. Things are crazy out there and I hope people take care of each other for real. Stay safe

And yeah, no worries on the free thing. I'm perfectly prepared to do whatever it takes to keep this game free forever. There's optional donation downloads (I think itch.io is the only place that has that where I've posted it) but you can still get it for free from there as well as here and the Patreon page for free. Definitely will never charge for this game. I've said that since the beginning.

Is it just me or is there a marked similarity (if you discount the size/shape of the eyes and lips)?

Well, this is the first time I'm leaving a message on this website, something I really didn't expect to end up doing when I registered here. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate all the work and time that has been invested on this game and hopefully covince someone reading this to try it too!

I was a bit reluctanct to try it out at first because it was not the "type" of game I was looking for when I entered this forum (you know, I guess I was just looking for sth more straight-forward...). But now that I've experienced it, I can confidently say that this one is now the only type of adult game I really want to play from now on.

The writing on it has touched me. I've been feeling a bit down lately and some of the conversations and thoughts displayed on it have made me reflect about myself and my insecurities. For a young gay man like me it's not -or it was not- very common to find stories in films, tv shows or games that actually resonates with some of my life struggles. I'm actually in college right now and I haven't had almost any intimate relationships at all, but reading through this lines has gave me a little push to don't give up on me.

So, for all of this I'm very grateful and I hope that you don't give up on this story either, despite the amounts of work that I can see it took to even reach this point. The result is already fantastic (and fun).

Also thank you for adding a bit of body hair and addressing that topic actively. It made a difference for me!

Love from Spain :p

Well let me take the same time to return your appreciation and say thanks for the note. It's a pretty cool feeling to motivate first time posters or people that just intended to quietly lurk. These comments mean a lot to me and they really help when i'm struggling with the writing stuff or overanalyzing stuff and all up in my head with this thing. I really am proud of what I've done here although it still need a ton of work and could still really improve.

I'm glad you took the story as a call to action and saw it as something that motivates you. While I'm writing the game to work through my own stuff, it's very meaningful when it resonates with others and that's empowering and honestly it makes me feel fuzzy. I think there's a universality here and I'm trying to capture something the media has glossed over so I'm glad you found it. I dont think you should give up. Intimacy is a heavy thing and for me, the definition of that and what it truly means to me has continued to evolve over time and I'm guessing it still will. I'll also say that a lack of sexual experience isn't a measure of one's worth either. If it was, we'd be idolizing and laying offerings at the altars of sluts. For me, i just try and live within my own values, continue to confront those values to see if they're still applicable, tell people that mean a lot to me that I love them, and don't waste opportunities and feel like you have forever.

Thanks for the support and I appreciate you :)

(PS: the body hair is sooo fucking hot. lmao. i just had to throw that in and agree with you cause i'm human too :ROFLMAO: )

After all this time, this game-novel is still one of my biggest favorites in its category. - I am still so madly in love with these characters, visual and history. (I know I am repeating myself in relation to your space on Itchio, but I cannot help saying it again ...)
You are not a lot of very talented creators who really put all of your passion into your work, but there are quite a few of them. - you are living proof, handsome young Aaryn.

Hello Aaryn, how are you? How’s the work going? as I told you time... after my fifth time playing your game, now for me it has become like the blanket of Lynus, I love it, I wanted to send you a private message not to spoil, I report typos and other perplexities that I have, but not being English and not knowing the slang maybe not mistakes.

1- After Braiden comes back from the first day of wrestling and Zack from the first pool
there’s a Swum instead of Swim - Braiden:"Did you do ok, thought? like...." -
2 - When playing cards after the last hand if Braiden loses when he’s in front of the TV to undress
there’s a woulda instead of would - Braiden: "Don’t lie: if you woulda lost..."
soon after same scene after Braiden undresses back Zack is on the bed
there’s a Nuthin... instead of Nothin... - Zack: "Nuthin..."
3 - When Braiden comes back from the shower the morning of the film trilogy
Braiden says, "Oh yeah? What is it?" and then he always says,
"oh shit, this is seriously your favorite movie trilogy? but Zack doesn’t say anything
I think the dialogue or something
4 - After the park... (without spoilerare) when I am in the room there is a strange passage between light on and light off,
Braden was talking and then immediately after light off and turned.. I don’t know if he deleted a passage
or some phrase.
5 - After Max and Zack get back from the walk, Zack tells Braden Max’s real name and Braden says...
I noticed you said Ash earlier back in the coffe shop.... actually he says it in the sauna.

I can’t wait to read and see the sequel, this game has become my drug. p.s. I downloaded the program and am learning how it works and the more I go on and the more I think oh my God. You have all my respect for patience. Having said that don’t take too long I need more drugs, but don’t rush otherwise the work doesn’t come out good :D . I’m kidding, art needs both written and visual time.
Good job and good day :D a kiss to your beautiful heart

Hello Aaryn and fellow posters :)

I have been a member on this site for some time, but this is my first post on the forums. I really felt compelled to post something in recognition to Aaryn and this amazing game. Throughout my time on this site, I have played many games, from several genres, and they have been fun, but this game really touched me personally.

As a Bi person in a very conservative family/church/school I really struggled with my sexuality, I was constantly embarrassed by who and what I was attracted to, and even though I am no longer in that environment, I still struggle with those issues. Because of the issues with my sexuality acceptance, and my social anxiety I have always had issues meeting people and having any sort of relationships.

This game touched so many points of my real-life experience, including lying about previous relationships and sexual experiences to seem normal; Fear of meeting new people and starting a relationship; and struggling with who I am. Even though this game is fiction, it has really helped me feel a bit better about myself.

Outside of all of the personal stuff (sorry if I went too far with that :) ) this game is really fun, and really hot

I am really impressed with what you have created, and really look forward to what is coming in the future.

Much Love,
-Frank

I have searched for good games that represent the complexity and subtlety of human sexuality. I'm a bi poly queer person. I seek out good non-hetero and non-monogamous content. Adult games tend to be heteronormative or use hetero baselines for whatever fantasy content they create. What Aaryn is creating is awesome! I'm happy to support its development.

I agree; and actually I think that this game is more groundbreaking for Bi people than for gay ones, as the character of Braden is almost unique in the gaming landscape. (I'm not bi, for disclosure, but I've seen many games!)

I would for sure agree with the uniqueness of this game, I have played a good amount of the games on this site, including many of the genres, I feel like with most of the games they are about unlocking scenes above all else, the story always feels secondary (and skippable to an extent), but with this game I felt the like story was by far the most important part.
I think the long lead up to the first adult content, and the great writing makes for a really unique experience. I think if I remember correctly the first 'adult' scene even happens by mistake, and just includes some nudity, but I dont mind at all. The story is compelling enough to keep me interested. (Plus I love seeing guys hanging out in boxer-briefs  )

Thanks a lot. I'll look into this and see. I do recognize a few of them simply as slang. I chose to sorta write this with slang and dialect that all over the place. I sorta end up writing exactly what I hear in my head and sometimes that's not correct grammar.

I love moving people to post for the first time, especially on a site that mostly focuses on straight content moreso than the stuff I'm writing. I'm glad you could relate and I appreciate your personal story. While it's fictional, a lot of this is very personal to me too--many of the same themes that you spoke up. They're not universal but it's something that a lot of us do and I just really wanted to validate that as part of the process of coming to term with who you are. I'm just really glad to stand out to people that have been around here and played so many different things. I get some shit for being different sometimes but it's nice to be unique and just not be one of the same boring porn games over and over.

I have searched for good games that represent the complexity and subtlety of human sexuality. I'm a bi poly queer person. I seek out good non-hetero and non-monogamous content. Gonna respond to both of these together because they do touch on similar elements. I love Braden's character because it still doesn't quite fit the mold even with all the sexual labels people keep throwing out there in an effort to try and explain how complex this is. You can watch some of the YouTube playthroughs of this and actually see the inherent bias that people have against Braden--even despite him saying he's not into guys, many people within the gay community saw that as denial. A sexual minority, who wants acceptance for who they are almost assumes judgement on someone else's sexuality and tells them how they should be. It gets sorta political there but Braden's character is very much a testament to himself and who he is. It's complex beyond labels and i like the fact that we really can't define that because at the end of the day, Braden is himself, in this moment, and that's ok. If he's accepting of that, the rest of us should be, too. and if that changes later, who knows, things change. but I do think is really does validate the bi community a lot--a group that was traditionally under fire for being "selfish" and not picking a gender they liked better.
