Quick fix v8.1:
GameData.rpyc - so the game won't nullify the date after 365

Crack date:
use it with caution
date_plus.rpyc - if your date already returned to zero (delete the file if you starting a new game)

They should. I still have a couple of saves from that version and they still work.

If you loaded save file from older version, make sure it was not from the middle of event

No, I'm on the parking lot outside the motel. I tried to play the 0.4.1 version, go to my room and then save there, but it doesn't help. I'm getting this error:
