I went through the game with the cheat mod (no problems with money, changing relationships with this or that character, which greatly reduces the amount of grind), I did not notice any problems when passing any story arcs. When passing the storyline of Victoria (and her mother) there are some not quite trivial nuances, but they have been discussed here many times, use the search function.

I did search, and the fact that i'm stuck in a loop where i'm not going to get another bottle is why i'm asking this question.

This is the most difficult moment not only in the story arc with the lawyer. but probably in the entire game. There are some random triggers that go off in this scene that can drive you insane. It took me about two weeks to get through this episode. I can only recommend this guide, although frankly it's not much use. But that's a flaw not of the mod, the claim should be made to the developer.
