Load up the previous version and save outside the hotel during the day, then try the save on the new version. If it's like older versions with this same issue, you should be able to continue from there.

My 0.45 saves worked for 0.46, but I still feel your pain because I've had the same thing happen with other Renpy games where my saves didn't work but other players said their saves work fine.

One suggestion that has worked for me in the past is to try all of the old autosaves first.
