It takes a few minutes to self-host a vpn and it cost about 2 usd a month. Even if you don't self-host a lot of vpn services work just fine. Subscribestar is accessible in Russia without VPN too. The main problem would be getting the money out considering you need to get visa, mastercard card that was issued outside of Russia but he didn't complain about it from what I understand. No idea why these people prefer to lie when the only thing he needs to say is "Hey, I am taking a little break after this update"

He lives in Russia, considering most Russians can barely access anything or receive money for the games they make....yes it is pretty reasonable while trying not to get conscripted into a war. Why don't you try living over there and see how it goes?

So, I wonder why he is blatantly lying.
White Knights SHOULD stop defending the guy and ASK THEMSELVES why the dude hasn't completed the game in 5 years and why he didn't make a decent game ending or a decent ending storylines for each main girl instead of adding more and more pointless threesomes and foursomes and side characters.
MOST OF ALL, the question White Knights should ask themselves is: the dude abandoned the game, so why didn't he release the final update as a public version since the last public version he released is 0.60?
What has happened to this game is just the umpteenth example of why no one should give a patron funded adult game a penny unless it is a completed game.

Yes, it's true that VPNs in Russia have started to work less effectively, because they've learned how to block the VLESS protocol.But VPN developers are doing everything necessary, and VPNs are still working. I'm writing this via VPN right now, and I can access Subscribestar.So I think the main reason is some personal issues with the developer, and I hope it's not so serious that it will be permanent. I`m so looking forward to his second game.

Most creators won't do that. They'll say "ughu im sick sorry for 2 years delay" or post tech updates for 10 years straight. He didn't. If you are subbed to him, you can just unsub, and sub back when he comes back.

Am I mad? nope: I couldn't care less. I've always been aware that this game was a mere endless sex-romp cycle and that one fine day the Author would have pulled the plug and left without giving a proper ending.
Everytime I write anything about the fact that the whole patron funded system is not a 'honest' system, you Defenders of the Crown rise up and feel outraged.
Summertime Saga - the older and the most funded and the most successful patron funded adult game - is the living proof that my arguments make sense.

I live here and believe me, I live without any problems. The Internet is available, and there are plenty of ways to circumvent blocking. As they say in our country, the strictness of laws in Russia is offset by the non-obligation to implement them. As for earnings, most of the local developers use boosty.to . As for Subscribestar, it's not blocked, I just went there without a VPN in order to double-check it once again. There may be problems with withdrawing money, although this problem can be solved, the question is whether you want to solve it. The army does not threaten him, there is no mobilization here. The developer probably has some serious personal problems (health, family problems, etc.). It's just very sad that the project, which has invested so much time and effort, was stopped a couple of steps before its completion. I really love this game, and the news of its suspension threw me into complete shock.

This'll be my last post on this matter; You are absolutely right when it comes to these other few games. He was working on the endings, and some characters have theirs already tho.
If you wouldn't care, you would've stopped posting already. You seem to dislike the game, yet you're here, so I'm not really sure why you're even posting about it all to begin with, since, if it's against the patreon model you are holding a grudge, then this is not the place to talk about it.
The one and only reason I am "Outraged" as you say, is because he CAN and absolutely SHOULD pull the plug if he feels like he can't work on the game right now anymore. What should he have done? Keep going? Delay the releases because he couldn't work on the game? Then you would've complained as well.
Burnout is a thing. Personal issues happen. I'm repeating myself, but again, at least he is honest by "pulling the plug". He is willingly sacrificing his money making project here, instead of milking it to oblivion, like another game you mentioned.
I feel it was always a matter of time. Nothing against the dev. Hope they can get things sorted for themselves whatever those things may be. Considering how frequent we see rug pulls it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Also not saying its a rug pull, just saying we see them a lot. What should be a surprise everyone is the ride on this one lasted as long as it did. 5.5+ years of active development is basically unheard of around here. That's one hell of a run and good on them for it. Honestly the dev could just flat out say "I'm tired of making your pudd pulling material I quit. Fuck you all" and I'd be okay with that. Nothing lasts forever, and they put in a ton of work that a lot of people enjoyed for free. At least it went on-hold and not abandoned like so many things do around here.

lol wtf are you even trying to say? They blocked every popular vpn services, entire openvpn and wireguard protocols and now trying to block VLESS. And you can't even mention or discuss VPN services because it can be considered as advertisement, which is also prohibited by law.
That is also a lie. F95 were banned here before they moved to another domain zone. Attachments is still banned though
