Just finished playing both routes, very high quality game in every respect. My one immediate critique was that I don't know why you have to choose in this first episode, and if you do why at that moment? It's your first night helping your best friend at the bar, and it seems natural you'd stay there working, but for some reason Becca's plot has to happen at that point in time. My fix would be to delay choosing till a later episode, and then just have Amy's route first, followed by Becca's.

That would be delaying the pain both feel if you don't choose them that night (not caused by MC, but rather not alleviated by his presence), but it could make the payoff better further down the line. From first impressions I expect I'll only play an Amy route on one playthrough, and then only a Becca route on the other playthrough (no order implied). With how good an natural the writing and characters are, it felt odd to kind of ignore the context to follow each route separately. Just imo.

Before we get started, if you just happened to have joined our Discord server in the past few weeks… We’re sorry, okay? That must have been confusing to you. And, like, to everyone else in there.
But not really that sorry.
We’ve got a bunch of stuff to share with y’all and that was our way of, uhm, teasing you. You can take it as in “we are absolute marketing masterminds”, or “we didn’t even think it through, it was a joke and we ran with it”.
So here’s the first piece of news we’re excited to share: Our first build of SOP got approved on Steam! This is really, really exciting to us because, in our time researching the platform, we had read quite the list of horror stories regarding developers and their games. The process was a bit overwhelming but not as… negative? As we thought it would be. We were prepared to have to edit and change and remake several things, or even have our game rejected, yet in the end, we were just asked to fix very technical details and the approval went in quite smoothly. This was a bit of a test submission, so we are still expecting issues to come up by the time we upload an updated build with Chapter 2, in which, you know, the adult fun begins.
So how is this related to the whole Discord thing I’m addressing extremely vaguely? Well one of the things we were asked to correct was the fact that we had marked our game as including achievements, but we’d completely forgotten to actually include them. We already had a few in mind by the time this came up, so it just came down to making an actual list and then… there’s the art issue. If you’re familiar with Steam games, you’ll know achievements have their own cute little icons - though the cute factor really depends on the developers’ taste. And we were all in for cute. There was an artist we had in mind to work with, so I did what I love doing most when I want to illustrate something specific (usually a scene for Grogu), I resorted to Paint. I put a few little doodles together, sent them to Grogu for him to check out, and he liked them. Like, he loved them. “BUT THEY’RE SCUFF”, I said. “AND THAT’S OUR BRAND”, he said. And proceeded to set one of them as our Discord Server Icon. I didn’t have much to say after that. Truth is, I actually got fond of them! Scuff or not, they had this weird charm to them of “we put this together without having any idea of what we’re doing”, and yeah, that’s definitely very in brand for us. So all those icons you’ve been seeing, they will be the ten achievements we have currently introduced to be featured in the Steam version of Chapter 1. As for their names, meanings, or how to get them, I’ll leave that for you to guess for the time being. If you haven’t added , this is your chance to do it! It does help a lot!
Moving on! I gotta say, postponing the release date for Chapter 2 was the best decision we’ve made since releasing Chapter 1. We were terrified to make that announcement, yet once it was done, all the anxiety washed away. I think neither of us had felt as free as we have been feeling since, and therefore, we’ve been stupidly productive. Which is ironic, in a way, but it makes sense. Yet for all that progress, we’ve been debating what exactly we’d like to share in these dev logs, and I think it’s because the whole release date pushback has, well, pushed us back to that place of second-guessing everything we announce (mix that in with the impulsive decision to change our server icon every day for ten days and you get… GGS!).
So what is there actually to say about Chapter 2? I think that, so far, it has allowed us to fall even more in love with our characters. The visual improvements have me really digging our MC - and I can imagine Grogu rolling his eyes at that, because he’ll never be satisfied. These days I have been going back and editing things from as early as the first scene in the chapter, and I’m so glad I did, because I’m freaking loving it all. Writing for SOP always feels like a bit of a magical experience, because I think I know these characters and then they say something in conversation that I hadn’t initially planned, and then Grogu renders that scene out and certain gestures or details take me by surprise and it’s a never-ending cycle of that and… whatever, random render slideshow!

On a side note, we’d like to let you know we have now organized our Patreon content under the new “Collections'' feature for you to access easily. And you may want to look out for that category on the bottom left this week…

Finally, for my random personal note of this log, does anyone have any advice for when your neighbor is sending cockroaches your way but you’re moving away in two weeks but you still don’t want to have the roaches as roomies for the time being because the whole move is already stressful enough and every time you think you have beat them they keep coming back and then you found out they can even lay eggs after dead?
Uhm, have a great week.

While it will add more trauma to your move, get bug bombs that kill roaches. Otherwise, they will get in your stuff, and lay eggs which can survive. It's been a while, but I seem to remember (double-check what I'm saying here!) but you should bomb twice more, 3-4 weeks out each time. That ensures that the live ones are dead, and any that hatch, are killed before laying more.

I hate roaches. We lived in an apartment complex that was infested, and had to go through this on a monthly basis because my mother felt the same.

Good luck.

Incredibly fast as always, thank you for the repost!

I was not expecting so much help and suggestions as I got on this topic, thank you so much! Sorry you had to go through that, but glad you're no longer there.

4 dias atrás

Before we get started, Gizmo is off this week, busy with moving stuff but would like to thank you all for your unexpectedly thorough knowledge on dealing with roaches and would like you to know the situation is under control now.
Going back to SOP, I've encountered some setbacks with my GPU, resulting in black renders (and DAZ isn't the only program I'm having issues with, but also programs I use for my work).
For those who want to know, black renders usually happen because the scene is too complex (it has many characters or heavy textures) for the GPU to handle. It's frustrating. When I try to make the scene simpler by lowering the quality of some background images, it usually works, but now it just results in a completely black render.
For now, image production is on hold for a few days, and I'm hoping for good news next week. However, I'm optimistic as I was making great progress, and I feel that I'm increasingly learning to pose/render more effectively and quickly despite hardware limitations.
On the other hand, the progress in writing is perfect for me to prepare the coding part. Typically, our workflow is:
  • I receive the script with Gizmo's ideas/suggestions.
  • I start with the environment, add the characters or create them, lighting and cameras and then posing and rendering.
  • I begin coding and see if it works, if it's effective, or at least if it serves its purpose for the story (still struggling with this). I transcribe the script and start from there.
But now that the rendering process is paused, I will begin with the coding part and set up everything we have so far to see what works. This will help us avoid "losing" too much time testing if something works or not in the latest instances.
That being said, we want to express our gratitude once more, THANK YOU for your support. Your kind words and support provide the motivation we need to continue working on something we're passionate about.

Would there be Harem ending too ??
The list of planned and unplanned tags in the OP is pretty comprehensive. Giving that a read would, I suspect, answer your question. It would also imply that you actually have some interest in this AVN other than "Can I fap to my favorite things?" (which, by the way, would ALSO be answered (or at least suggested) simply by looking at the tags listed at the top of every page in a thread ...)

Anyway, done being snarky. To The List™ with you ...

Hey everyone! You may (or may not) have noticed we’ve decided to pause our Patreon pledges for the time being. The issues we’ve been having with the hardware have taken progress from slowly moving on to hardly getting anything done, and so, after some back and forth, we both agreed it’d be for the best not to charge our patrons for the time being.

This does not mean we are stopping progress altogether, it just means that, while we greatly appreciate your support, (and because we do) we’d rather wait until we have reached the goals we are behind on before resuming the pledges.

As I mentioned on the previous log, I've been working on the code in Ren'Py. Unfortunately, it's not like riding a bike (which I don't actually know how to do either), but they say that once you learn, you never forget. I'm the opposite when it comes to coding. Starting from Chapter 2, some of the decisions we made in Chapter 1 carry more weight and make more sense, which I love. There are still some things I can't quite understand in terms of how coding works, but the positive thing is that the structure is already in place for when the renders come.

We also wanted to wait a little before making this announcement so we could share some good news with y’all. From the moment we started working on SOP, we both had a very clear vision of things we wanted for it, and one of those was to collaborate with people who could add a little more magic into our project. Of course, our budget is quite limited at the moment, so we’ve been on the lookout for upcoming artists so we could help each other out. And so we came across Alex, an artist with a very distinct style that grabbed us instantly , and we’ve commissioned a poster for SOP. We can’t wait to show you what she’s working on so… here goes a sneak peek:

Keep in mind this is just a first sketch and the final product will be quite different, but a little excitement never hurt anyone. her site if you’d like to check out her work.

That's it for now and, if you'd still like to support us, let us remind you that , and tell your friends, cousins, weird uncles and generous grannies about it so they can wishlist it too.

You can also as always, every cent counts.

We fucking love you.

I know, for me, coding is a "perishable skill". I leaned basic Ren'Py, started making renders to explore making a game - then opened Ren'Py and it was as if I'd never seen it before :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I can go years without doing some things and drop right back into them - coding is NOT one of those things!

Good luck! Looking forward to the return - great stuff so far.

This is a good start and I love that it is a more intimate and personal story. Really looking forward to the next chapter.

The tarot card in the game. Is it original art or from some set?
