I am a patron of this game and I don't care if they release it before or after I can officially download it (blue belt), since what I want is to support the creator to continue working. I discovered it thanks to this pirate forum and we should all be adults to know that without support, these games would disappear. Soooooo if you like it -> subscribe (y) without caring if you get the game sooner or later ;)

Great job btw Flynn :giggle:

This was a very mixed bag of an update for me.

I'll wait to post my thoughts until it goes public or gets leaked, but... I was disappointed with a few scenes but also really loved and am excited for what a few others did or have set up for the future.

Piracy of shit that will be free is just entitled douchebaggery. There's plenty of games that don't have public releases, don't be a dick to the devs that actually support this community.
Still a weird thing to say don't pirate on a pirating site.

This game almost died just a few updates ago because the dev wasn't making enough to survive on and it got leaked either on or very close to day 1. I support leaks for games when the leaks don't threaten the existence of those games, this game doesn't make enough money for it to be safe to leak this early. I love this game, I'd be very disappointed if I couldn't play it again because it leaked too soon and the dev didn't make enough money off of it. It makes no difference whether we play it now or a week from now so why would I want it to leak right now if that hurts the dev's bottom line?

To my knowledge usually a common decency to pirate AAA games and support or respect the indie devs unless someone is financially incapable, shame this doesn't seem to translate over to adult games, especially to games that literally will come out free in a few days anyways.

That being said, I don't think the game being leaked a few days early is really impacting profits, I highly doubt someone that is waiting for the public release will end up subscribing just a few days before.

Depends on the game for some reason. Some devs have actually noted a reduction in their patron base for the lower tiers after a high tier leaks, some devs have noted an increase in their patron base after a leak and some devs have noted no significant change at all.
For a dev that's not earning a lot, like Flynn, I'd err on the side of caution that too early of a leak is probably bad. After the first leak that Flynn was saying almost killed the game he said his patron count had plateaued until he made the public appeal that the game was on life support. Hopefully his patron count will increase enough over time that it doesn't become a threat to the game's livelyhood but until then waiting a week to a month for the game to leak or release won't kill us.
