Slowly approaching, yet just as heart breaking. Flynn, Stray Incubus was one of the first games I first ever played, and truly an inspiration to start my own adventure!

I'm extremely lucky and thankful to call you a friend, Flynn.
I wish you all the luck for the future! Don't be a stranger. Thank you for being you!

Your passion is etched into all of us, and within our projects.

Losing this one actually hurts a bit. I was really enjoying reading the story, and of course, every single LI was fantastic. Sure I have my favorites but every great eVN makes it pretty much impossible to choose just one. Holy crap this sucks.

The writing was sorta on the walls from last time, last time he was right on the edge but got just enough subs on patreon to keep going but the writing was there that if SI didnt blow up chances were it was going to be abandoned or turned into a part time hobby

Just saw the notification that this is abandoned now, quite sad to see. This was definitely one of the better games on here, one that I've enjoyed playing quite a bit. No hate on Flynn though, I have no idea what's actually going on but from what I could gather from reading the last few posts it's some personal / family issue on top of other shit. So yeah, thanks for getting this far and good luck to you if you do happen to read this post. Hope things turn for the better ASAP.

This game being abandoned really sucks cuz it blows the majority of other games on here out of the water. Hopefully the dev decides to work on it a little in his free time here & there cuz I much rather see this get resurrected every 2-3 years instead of The Tyrant.

based on his Discord messages he aint coming back, he said someone else could take it over and left all the assets and such in the hands of one of the mods to hand off to someone that wants to continue it. I would love if Flynn kept it going but I give it a 0.1% chance of happening

Ideally, the new "owner" can continue the graphics and development, with Flynn engaged for writing, since I think bandwidth is the main problem where he's moving to. That's probably too much to ask for...

I just cant believe that Flynn will be gone now... I think this is the saddest I have ever been seeing a game getting abandoned... just sitting here, reading his farewell message over and over... feeling so empty right now...
God damnit, it was such a good game and Flynn was a great dev...
Even more unfortunate that his discord is kinda closed now, so... farewell Flynn and all good to you...

This is sad as hell.. I hope dev finds the time & desire to continue this in the future.
I am not the biggest fan if it comes to Fantasy/Mythology stuff in AVN's but this was one of few which i really loved.

Girl designs where also so good will miss them. Misty was also unexpected a fine good looking character.

Indeed, Flynn's probably the best dev out there who can actually make a proper action filled AVN, with straight up badass sequences and adrenaline filled moments. + proper good ear orgasm scenes.
It was honestly really cool to see how much they drastically improved over updates, from the beginning to recent updates.

Sure there were pacing/abruptness issues and some controversy over the direction of the sex scenes but those don't take away from the fact that the scenes, story, animations were all pretty much objectively good quality for an HS based game.

I do hope one day they make a return, as improbable as it may be.

Welp, this sucks, I really liked this one and the guy had improved massively from the beginning. Another one bites the dust I guess.

There's a lot of whining in here about piracy but personally when I went to support the guy I remember finding his pricing tiers to be a bit ridiculous. It's $40 USD per month for day1 access to new releases.

I doubt I'm the only one that was turned off by the whole 2+ weeks wait time for paying customers (a couple of lower tiers exist, with the ones that actually get access to the game starting at $6 for a 3 week wait time, and two higher tiers exist at $40 and $80 both instant release) - and I'm willing to bet that most of the supporters still pirated the game anyway. I would have most likely grabbed it from here too, but I wasn't going to support someone who was doing that to people who wanted to pay him for his efforts.

IMO the guy had the wrong idea when it came to this site, he used it right initially to gain popularity - then decided to fight it. Instead of accepting that piracy is something that will happen, and continuing to use this site as the incredible resource it is, he tried to ensure that it wouldn't get leaked by asking for large amounts of money and sticking a large wait time in between tiers. So who loses when that happens? Because it isn't the pirates - IMO it's the paying customers. If you're asking someone to pay for something they can otherwise get for free, then one of the absolute worst things you can do is make it less convenient to get it from you.

This is like Netflix, knowing that there is a site they can't shut down that has their entire library available at full quality, for free, deciding to up the price of a subscription and then asking people to wait up to 3 weeks after things have dropped. What on earth do you think would happen in that scenario? Everyone just immediately upgrades to the highest cost plan so that they can get their media on day 1? or is it possible that many who would otherwise subscribe to them might just say "fuck it" and use the free resource?

Hard Agree, as they say, piracy is a service issue.
For me personally, If the first tier was a couple of bucks a month, sure, I'd be happy to support. But I'm not paying the price of a full game on steam per month for an ongoing project with no clear end date; and the end date is very important to me because I need to know where/how to set my expectations.

Regardless, it is sad to see him go. I hope he finds success in other areas of life.

The pay scales were a bit off, I am also someone who is willing to pay a few dollars a month until a major update and I will usually up my subscription for that month. Kind of like a patron would in ye' olden days. Waiting weeks for a basic service you've been paying for is definitely going to turn people away.

I think F95 itself is more an advertising tool for indie devs. The amount of games I simply had no idea existed or just from recommendations are staggering. Which in turn has allowed me patronize those devs, otherwise I never would have paid for their games as many can't be sold on steam or other sales platforms since they use existing programs for their animations. Thinking you can limit piracy by being more heavy handed almost always backfires and pushes potential patrons/buyers away.
