Thank you for answering and for your work. Can you perhaps point out what "tied Up" with the current job means as a reason? Also i asked because saw in runtime folder the cheatsheet with things like "&fire_from_job" and thought it could be not listed in console help but i guessed wrong.
About the friend bug be aware that friends remaining friends but the request pops up again in interactions or even used repeatedly by npcs. Also i saw for the first time being friends with -100 opinion (might be related)
Tied up means that they have a permanent job, one that they can't change. For example, commissioners and club owners have permanent jobs. This is the way the game makes sure you don't hire those away and create all kinds of issues. Lawyers and doctors and a few other high salaried jobs are also permanent cause no doctor is going to quit their job to become a stripper (or janitor). So those people are off-limits and can't be hired. (And yes some of them have good stats because those jobs required them to have those good stats).
I 'll post a potential patch to the friend issue next.
I'm seeing the screen flash any time it goes from one dialog popup to another. Here's a screen capture, you can see it most clearly after the "I say hello" choice.
Thanks. So that's not happening on the outdoor scenes so it's not related to adding the nighttime filter like I thought based on someone else's info. Not sure if that makes it better or worse
I have a question, does people's personality change if you change their opinions to match those of a certain personality? because some people are just stubborn no matter how many opinions you change, or did I just miss one of the opinions, for example can I turn someone into a stalker, I don't mean the one that interrupts your date but the other one the girl that constantly asks you to help her with quitting her job or applying lotion on her body
The traits (will power, greed, sociability, etc.) don't change no matter what. So yes, it's possible you can turn a high will person into a submissive/follower (it'd be hard but can be done) resulting in a bit of a weird personality disorder. Not sure how to deal with that. That stalker it's a special character in the game with her own story line, so no, you can't make someone else behave like that cause her scenes are specific for her.
I have multiple girlfriends and I have definitely had it where one approached me about having a threesome, when I already had discussed having a threesome with a different girlfriend, and when I ask a girl to join a threesome it is always the latest one discussed and previous girlfriend seems to forget about it. That's my observation of the behavior in any case, and it may be for the best rather than having to choose which threesome I'm asking a girl to join. Though perhaps having an option to invite the currently asking girlfriend to the threesome with the previously asking girlfriend instead might be useful. Having multiple girlfriends is complicated, but it fits my image of a strip club owner.
Yeah, the threesomes are hard to manage specially with multiple girlfriends. For a successful 3-some you need 6 agreements, if A, B and C are the three participants you need A-B, A-C, B-A, B-C, C-A and C-B. Which adds a ton of complexity. To simplify this I've only made it work when A-B are already a couple so there's 2 agreements that can be ignored. But trying to remember multiple threesome agreements is also complex and seriously the logic is a mess which is why it took so long to get there and still buggy as hell (as you all have pointed out). So before I add more options, I need to squash all the current bugs. Hope you understand.
Nice, thanks! One small comment, I found that a tight crop for the headshot works best since it's displayed so small.
Yeah, originally I was doing headshots that included most the of the head and shoulders and some clothing but with the new smaller images used in the menus, it becomes hard to see, and tighter shots work better. I'll get around to updating most of the existing ones at some point.
Is it normal that some npcs are unemployed and when you text them they claim that they are working all the time? I can't meet them to offer job or see them anywhere in town like ever.
Edit: By the way,
TotalFluke it might be a nice addition if you could add call for job interview through phone/text. It certainly would make sense to have it and it would help a lot pretty please :3.
No, an unemployed NPC should not say they are working. I'll look to make sure that's not happening but I don't remember seeing that. If they like you enough they should accept your invite to meet up. If they don't they probably won't want to work for you either. Everyone hangs out on the town at some point. You just have to find what they are into.
Getting a strange scenario in this new version, where I've initiated training for an employee, however they keep saying they're 'too unwell to come to training' despite working every day they've claimed this.
Training requires at least 0 health, working requires at least -20 health. So that's probably why.
