Without looking through the story files, I think there's now either some RNG involved or there's also a time component.
On my current playthrough in 1.05 there was also a few sexually related books I chose that didn't trigger the cult leader.

I'm just getting started with this, working my way through the tutorial and hired my first employee. This game caught my interest because it was described as heavily inspired by Lab Rats 2, and that's one of my favorite games. Part of the reason I like it is the workplace power dynamic; being able to do sexy stuff with your employees, dictate what they wear, etc. In this game, so far it seems like I can't even talk to my employee while she's on her shift. Am I missing something, or does it change at some point, or is that just how the game is?

The only reason I think I've ever seen you unable to talk to anybody anywhere on the map is due to having your energy so low you can't even speak. Otherwise I'm really not sure how you're encountering that issue.
Or are you not clicking your club name at the top to move to the different rooms to find them or something?

Yeah, I think it was the energy issue. Okay, next newbie question. Is there any way to change Alyssa's opinion of incest. I looked through all the categories of things you can try to change her opinion about, and I didn't see it in any of them.

So first of all it needs to actually be turned on via the user_config file. In the regular config file there's a line that reads "#taboos string noncon,incest,racism" indicating which "taboo" aspects are included in the game, but turned off. However it's better and recommended to simply add lines to user_config because that file overrides the other. So if you close the game and open user_config.dat and on a new line add
taboos string -
it will enable the taboos, which will open up the options to start asking about the things you like in conversations. It can be pretty difficult to convince them sometimes, depending on their character and probably RNG. Though it is save-scummable if you like.

Yeah, that seems to have been it. I finally got it with "Introduction to Backdoor Sex".
Usually I only borrow lewd books if there's no alternatives that will improve my stats for employee training. Some things are better learned with practice.

Is there anything you can do to improve your chances of success, or is it just the unchanging traits you chose at the beginning? I don't mind a grind.

I'm not 100% sure what has an influence on it. TotalFluke would likely know best or it may have been answered before. Depending on what you're asking it could be related to the lewd acts they enjoy or how open to being submissive they are maybe, as well as how much they even like you to begin with.

Ive noticed that the percentage of taxes does not seem to be changing with the law changes. im Still paying around 26% at normal taxes which i was at high taxes

I swear every time I re-add/combine/reconfgure your packs for my own files you release new updated versions xD
I notice you have some of the sex scenes contained within the z3/4-s3 category for stripping. When testing is that where those categories show up and make sense during encounters? In my own configurations I had been seemingly relying on the RNG to hit them from only being in topless/nude categories.

I pushed out a new small update just before the holidays! Version 1.07 link is at the top of the thread. The main thing this is update includes is that is support for changing the most common game options from inside the game (so no more updating the user_config.dat file!) and will now support images for pregnant women, if they exist.
Also available now is the Gloria image pack, which is half the size of a regular one but I wanted to put some pregnant images out there now and see what the reaction is. I'm not too happy with how they came out but I'm still trying various things to see if I can improve the process to generate them. Not all these images have pregnant versions, just 15 out of the 50 do.
The way pregnant images work, they will have file names like scw-01234-z1-preg.png. If the z-value is within 4 of the one it would ordinarily display, it will use the pregnant one. Otherwise it will use the standard body one. For the images in the Gloria pack, the ones that have pregnant images all have 2 versions, a z1 and a z9. That covers all the posibilities. It also means that it may show a nude pregnant woman when it wanted one wearing a very sexy dress (z5 or above). Not sure this is the best system, and I'm open to changes, but it provides flexibility - but of course requires the actual images to be generated.
