Their funding on throne seems rather anemic, perhaps going into a niche unknown funding site was a bad idea.
thats cause they got themselves booted off the main ones and instead of trying to fix it they tried to scam more money out of people who already gave them money on kickstarter
they asked for funding to make streemster which they claimed would launch in 2019 and it's still just a png of coming soon. Think their only active funding profile is their fansly
i bought the subverse game for 29,99 ! biggest trash game i have played in the last few years ! there are a lot of indigames better than this ! they litterally scammed people with this ! that is not even 0,99 worth to pay! they stopped making awesome videos and started making a bad indi game charging people for it ! this studio is dead and should not be supported ! i would support them with donations if they make videos like in the past but this way with the game is just making money and scamming people !

Can’t use Patreon, Subscribestar doesn’t take every card nor PayPal, and you can’t use kickstarter for parodying IP, they ain’t gonna touch that risk.
The real issue is linking to it, since youtune and twitter bury posts that links to other websites.
they dont even link it on their own website and instead still advertises streemster because they wanted to also sell a studiofow cryptocoin (FOWCoin)
can't blame youtube or twitter (even if both those platforms have shit moderation) when you don't even use your own platform
if you want proof i'm not just pulling shit out of my ass, visit Zovolt dot com (StudioFOW pays them to be the publisher of Subverse as you can see on Steam with Streembit Ltd as the publisher) which is still working on Streembit (the tech that was supposed to be used on Streemster and blockchain for FOWcoin) and see that their lead dev is "Tibor", the same Tibor that posted Subverse updates on Kickstarter

you can draw your own conclusions but i'm gonna say its way more likely than not
they havent disclosed how much they funneled into Streembit/Zovolt so invariably, if you gave them any money part of that money didn't go to funding Subverse or more videos, it went and is still going towards to trying to make a crypto coin

Who cares up to this point? They just can't make proper game and veered from something they were actually good. It's like getting your car repaired by 5-star restaurant chef, who thinks he can try to be mechanic with same success yet fails in new job for months.
If you aren't up to the task, don't ask for money. Scammers or people misguided on their own skill level? Doesn't make much difference, if you ask me.

Honestly a shame. I helped kickstart the game and it's essentially a mediocre political drama, with really shitty and disjointed smut. You need to go to your room to access it and it's just gifs you can splice together. I'm worried we'll never get bangers like the Kunoichi series again. Their funding goals on throne are insanely high. Fuck you need 100k for for some BG3 porn? I haven't found too many animators that scratch that same itch of hardcore monster stuff without it just being gore. Feels bad man.

Somebody probable wrote this already in this long thread, but here the case is quite simple.
StudioFOW were good in adapting existing characters and franchises made by other professionals and making out of it raunchy pr0n. When it comes to creating something completely new out of thin air, where they could have complete creative freedom, it seems they don't have much to offer.
Being good adapter doesn't necessarily make you a good creator. It's fine if you can take Shakespeare's play and create out of it very well made spectacle, but to do so, you don't have to make up original source material, as it exists already. Creating something with functional potential out of scratch is different part of a skill set.
If you think about previous works of StudioFOW, you're going to find out, that it's just very skillfully and considerately mashed up creative work of other people. They decided to use characters with proven character design from successful franchises and make smut of it. So core work was made already by original creators. And yes, SF were great in mimicking styles to a great extent (like aesthetics of PlayStation games in "Code Valentine" or VHS tapes elsewhere), they could find out musical numbers perfectly contemplating mood and action (what do you think I see in my mind,

If you can't do proper character design, don't try to make your original characters, because you'll fail. If you can't create original world setting, because all the time you've just adapted somebody else worlds, you probably won't create anything valuable. Stick to this adapting skill set, go mimic other successful creators and slutify their work, but don't think for a minute you could do that grassroots creative work yourself.
When I saw screens of "Subverse", I knew from the start, it's gonna be one big misunderstanding. Even visually nothing there really works and makes impression of bland, formulaic, uninteresting footage taken directly from virtual stock. Usually, when you intend to make smut game, you should aim at creating characters with some visible personality traits. that would make people curious about, to see that personalities at work as they fuck. Yet here nothing of sorts takes place because of general unattractiveness of everything.
"Subverse"? FFS no! If I would want to watch sex in space, I'll search for old "Starship Titus" comics and find out how well or poorly they aged.

This is a very generous way to interpret what SF have presented so far, because I don't think masterful writing and lovable characters are going to save a smut franchise if all they continue to put out are 5 second loops of recycled poses years into development. Subverse isn't bland because its different or OC, its bland because its void of content, there is less smut here than when they had a smaller budget and team, both length and quality wise.Being good adapter doesn't necessarily make you a good creator. Maybe you're right and I'm generous, but let's say that I acknowledge some difficulty of getting out of comfort zone.
They were making passive media as short movies, yet went for interactive game making.
They reused other creators stuff, but decided to create something exclusively by themselves.
These are really big steps, if you think about that. I don't have much problem with failure as such, given these circumstances.
If you fail, you should just learn from that experience. And it seems, they don't want to do it, because they won't start anything new to redeem themselves, just try to milk it, even with risking of getting their audience tired with them.
But I guess, they've decided to practice PR and marketing communication skills, trying to sell their game turd for as long there is any interest in their brand, before it implodes.

well said , now I expect the simp from this thread to take their side and post same bullshit, I hope one day they will disband and never hear from them again or became so irrelevant that we just don't care. They scamed people after they taste success.Some many great projects cancelled or put on ice because of their greed and simps( no samus ,honoka and marie rose, witcher trilogy, tina movie and the list can go on).

Have to point out that there’s talk of FOW milking this project. How are they doing that exactly with no extra income via Patreon or such? The only profit they’re making is from selling the game. The Fansly page only went up months ago with the anniversary video.
There’s been plenty of creators with threads on this site that have had games in development since before Subverse was even funded in 2019, have had Patreon income the entire time, and still have yet to finish their projects. So I think it’s an exaggeration to claim FOW is stretching this out. Even if you want to count from 2019, a five year development for a first game of this scale is monumental.

Canceled projects? The only one that ever was an unannounced flash game in the League of Legends series. It was on the trello board back then for Ashe, which would have also featured Sejuani.
As I’ve told you several times, the previously announced projects were put on hold. Subverse serves to establish their own IP and for their animators to learn Unreal Engine, which is what all future films will be made in. This has been stated since 2019, right in the FAQ’s of the kickstarter page.
I get you were spoiled by the quality and output of their films, we all were. But constantly barking about broken promises is not making it come any faster.
Just wait and see.

You tell me this and that and you didn't sub to them for soo called projects...I wonder why ? NO one will forget what they give us (Kunoichi movies , Helena gang ,Mila movie ,Jill movie , Harley movie ,Bioshock movie and soo one ) but they became arrogant and started to treat fans like dirt, I get it some fans are asses but you can't put all in same group. People support them even when they asked 50 $ for last tier (wi.ps and clips etc) eager to see how their work is going. Samus project was loved by fans and all wanted to see the movie with Samus, but that movie never came. Also the witcher trilogy was a hot topic back in the days, again didn't came (You said that they wanted something special for W3 movies and put the project on ice).Time pass and their treat of fans split the fan base , look now after months they get 1 % ,2 % ... ? how much? because many moved one, many have been disappointed by their game .After months what did they show?! but they ask for 80k ,100k for a movie. Look at 26 regionsfm, cumkey and others how they treat their fans. I get it that no one is perfect and mistakes are normal but come on, better communication is not hard, look guys what we want to do ,what we did ,what can be done with your help ! But they keep total silent .

I did not lie about the wips, I’d never seen or had simply forgotten them. Bear in mind it’s been 6 years now since they were removed from Patreon. And since all you posted in return were just pictures and not time stamped pages, it’s a little hard to recall the exact times when things went up. Even so, they were only ever stills, not animations, and we never got a date for them, so I can assume they weren’t close to being done anyway. You’re going off like they were just about to come out when they likely weren’t anywhere close. And it’s not FOW you need to be mad at for that, it’s those pearl clutching religious fucks that pressure card companies who then in turn pressure sites like Patreon to remove some of their most popular earners.
It’s why folks like FOW or Animopron were kicked off, and why any creator that’s there now has to be incredibly careful about what they make.
It’s 2018 you just lost your source of income, there’s no way you can suddenly recoup 35k monthly. Other animators take years to build that, and other support sites haven’t picked up traction yet. But they were already working on a game for Patrons, since that was a milestone goal. So they took what they had and went all in on it. And you’re acting like this was some massive betrayal, which is just ridiculous. They did what they could with what they had. That they were able to bounce back and have a massively successful kickstarter campaign within months of losing their primary income is a miracle. Personally speaking it took me two years to find another job after I left my previous one. I’d have called it a blessing to find work again that soon.
You’ve brought up me not funding the new films on throne. Yes, I haven’t, because the entire point is present options, and I don’t really care for the current slate. Even if it would be funny to see Lara funded and something getting created faster than Wildeer’s gatekeeper videos (now that’s some real milking if you want to check out that thread).
But I think Tifa and Lara are quite overused in the 3d smut scene, and for BG3 girls I’d prefer Karlach. But I’m not gonna crucify them because they put two of the most well known characters up first and one of the most popular characters of the last year up there. I can be patient, shit I waited more than long enough for Kingdom Hearts 3, so this is nothing by comparison.
On an added note, I think the reasons why the throne films aren’t as funded is simply because it is significantly harder to promote them. Linking to outside sites on YouTube and Twitter gets posts buried, so it wouldn’t surprise me if many people didn’t know it even exists,
Maybe in someone alternate timeline, they finished their movies, sold them for 20 bucks to try and make a profit and then see how pointless that is when it’s inevitably posted here. Stuff like that is why folks like Amusteven is actually feeling less enthused about making more animated works. Then having money via Patreon is why they always released their films for free publicly the same day for everyone. They didn’t make tiers, or keep versions for their Patrons like some artists do now. They created some of the best SFM era animations and gave them away for free. Even Blizzard suing them didn’t stop them from being defiant and getting the Yrel film out anyway.
And yet these guys, the ones posting monthly updates about what they’re doing with their game, the ones that say dates once and then never push or delay them, the ones that have created a fully voiced, numerous hours to complete, actual game that isn’t just a speed through text clickathon, that you continue to be so negative about.
I also do wish all the past films do get completed, some people on FOW’s own discord server disagree with me about that. I certainly do because some of them I very much am looking forward to. Even if some feature characters I don’t care for, I know they appeal to somebody.
We’re mere months away from the game being done, so we’ll just need to wait and see how it looks in a completed state, and how well it does out of early access before they decide how their future will go.

Better communication with fans never hurts !!! Why right now after years they posted W.I.P with Marie Rose ,Tina and Mai ?!! because they want to baits people to give them money for nothing. If they care about people they should do small videos like in the past ,to prove that they are serious and learn from mistakes ! .Where all those money from Samus movie haven been gone ? what about other projects ? they f up and then ask for more ? Now they ask : 80k-100k for what ?empty words ?!!!Nothing against them for use Tifa, Shadowheart etc but for now they don't deserve our money not after some many projects left in void !!!

About their game I didn't play it because was not my taste, don't know if is good or bad. I can say one thing : bleak faith forsaken game made by 3 guys , very raw at first , but look now after they discuss with fans and listen .Still not perfect but a excellent game.
