Yeah all of this is indeed true for both Valentine and Els but for me its more about life experience than soley relationship experience. And the MC has a SHITTON of life experience, WAAAAAAAAAY more than the average late 20's guy. He fought a war, traveled the world, experienced the absolute ups and downs of life.

He lost the fucking love of his life (or first love, sorry other li's :ROFLMAO:) in such a tragedy.

Compare that to the life experience of Ines and Vi who ... went to a girlsschool, fullstop.

But anyway i dont want to badmouth these paths and still have pt's for them, its just becomes really bad for me in combination with fucking every other girl around too :ROFLMAO:

been a minute since i read through the parts about the ex celeb girlfriend, but wasnt she the reason everyone thinks he's a womanizer and its actually all BS that he simply refuses to acknowledge or deny, cause until he meets kana and starts learning about performing for the camera and press he always just takes everything with silence, hoping his fighting skill will do the talking.

between the late gf and the ex gf, his two actual relationships ended poorly, and he is only as of last update really opening up about his trauma and getting the help to deal with it. i mean look at the monster his best friend is. the dude is not emotionally ready for anything serious past the platonic stage, and even in that he doesnt know how to receive the loyalty and care he gives, or to let other reciprocate.. pretty sure i forgot how to spell some words but i aint double checking

he is still a womanizer depending how you play the game. And he was in the past too, no doubt. There is convo where Amrit mentions he had at one time three girls over at their house.

Nah he IS a womanizer (or was depending how you play him), he refuses to deny the part about being a bad guy which is something else.

And being a womanizer is nothing bad per se, it kinda depends on the communication which tbf valentine is somewhat decent at, he's upfront about girls better not expecting any kind of romantic committment from him and due to his backstory/tragedy its reasonable that he is like that.

But i still feel shitty stringing Vi or Amrit along when i already know i will take someone els(e) for example

No, he did sleep around, he just didn't cheat on her like she said. He has lots of funtime sex with hookups, but no real relationships after the actress. I'm guessing that she was the first attempt at a relationship after settling in London, the first since Zaina (sp?) died... It's not clearly stated, but that's the impression that I got.

Her betrayal (the lies to the media) made it less likely for him to want to have another relationship, and much easier to sleep around with girls that like that. ;)

It had been a while for me too, and I had forgotten these details. Sounds right though.

With this perspective, the "hesitant all main LI" path works for me. Essentially, on that path my head canon is that he doesn't really know how to deal with the mutual emotional connection he's forming with (up to) five women. So when they try to initiate something, he doesn't really want or know how to gracefully turn them down without hurting them. Nor does he know who he'd pick if he had to. And he actually cares about hurting them, so takes the path with less short-term pain.

By comparison, my MC on this path was easily able to turn down the casual side paths. It's what he knows, and there's not the same concern about causing emotional pain.

On this path, he'll likely reach a point where he has to choose (even if some paths present poly). This is course will likely be painful. But at the same time, compared to a path where MC actively pursues all the main LIs, if they are the ones initiating it knowing they aren't the only ones vying for him, they assume a bit more of the responsibility for any heartbreak if they aren't chosen. Perhaps this will help maintain any non-romantic relationship that could remain and at least partially reduce guilt about it MC may feel or anger the non-chosen LI might as well.

Obviously since it's my head canon others can see it differently, and it may not play out that way in game.

i guess i misused the word womanizer. i was saying he wasnt lying cheating and manipulating women into thinking they were going to have a real relationship with him.

It's funny because you can play Valentine like a jedi monk and it will work too. Because that's a made up story from the tabloids if you go that route. Els does comment something about that if you don't sleep around and pursue her route.

Hmm i interpreted it differently. Imo he always slept around a lot, its just that els is aware (and even more on her route) that he isnt acting like that simply because he's a bad guy.

She knows about his terrors either in detail or can guess close enough to recognize him being a broken shell and not a yolo playboy.

Other people start to drink, Valentine throw himself at women without any kind of emotional bonding, probably just to not feel the pain at the moment like many addicts do.

sometimes people throw themsevles at other people for you know, sex. cause its sex. but yeah, Valentine probably cause his issues. but then again, when i make his choices, its cause, you know, sex!
