I didn't enjoy the manga either (it was supposed to offer more backstory to the waifus and be cannon).
There are three types of sex scenes you can unlock for the waifus after they level up all of the with different tiers (sex with the Captain, Mantics and futa) wich is better explained in the dev diary #7 give a read if anyone is interrested.
As informed through their roadmap for 2019 what was released in the late summer was the beta (which back then was supposed to be released in chapters not just endless missions of space combat and also available to most backers) and generated a huge controversy because the most of the community felt cheated.
Despite the MANY mistakes and errors Studio FOW has made through the development of this game i still believe it will be a good game, after all this is the first time that they attempted something this big and the original ideia was much smaller (3 chapters and only 5 girls).

Have you actually seen any of Studio FOW's previous work? It's pretty much all monster stuff. I'd be hugely disappointed if the game didn't focus on that.

There's a fuckton of vanilla stuff available elsewhere, in fact, if you aren't into fantasy fetishes, why watch hentai at all?

With the delays and all, I'm not expecting this game to blow my mind though.

oh i know and agree, fow is known for hardcore fetishes. i ain't denying that. what i'm trying to say is the game snowballed beyond just fow's reputation which is very niché, game got funded mostly 'cuz it got real big and people who just wanted a porn game paid for it. i don't think their audience is just the original fow fetishists now. i'd even bet that the more vanilla dudes outnumber the monster rape futa dudes.

If most people who supported this game didn't read the kickstarter page or knew about StudioFow reputation and really just jumped at the oportunity to support a quality porn game only to see vanilla sex the they can choose to do so by only unlocking scenes with the captain.
There will always be those who will not enjoy the final product but the people who supported this project must have had at least some information about the project, i mean you don't spend money on something you have zero information on (there is a 2 minute trailer, most information regarding the project is on the kickstarter page and their website, some people in youtube are still talking about the game, there is their twitter page and discord), especially on something risky like kickstarter where some projects might not deliver on the investment made (Chronicles of Elyria wich gathered almost 8 Million dollars).
In short, Yes you may have a point about most of the backers not knowing about the problems down the road, but the whole of the project was explained in the kickstarter, StudioFow have done their part and were as honest as possible about what the project would entail, and even after the changes that i don't like (BETA was supposed to be acessible to all supporters and the manga were supposed to be cannon backstories with a darker theme) i will still support this project.

Thanks for sharing the hentai doujinshi. I found the art style to be of high quality, clearly the artist knows what he/she is doing, very well made. One thing I found not that great though is the faces. The Captain and the android (Demi ?) of the doujinshi respected their official faces on their website but Lily & Fortune, not so much... I guess Lily was the worst offender for me. I'm no artist so I won't be able to properly express my impression but it was clearly off.
About the kinks/fetishes portrayed well... it was quiet hardcore, really hardcore but it was a bad end. So I would not frown upon it even though it's not my favorite one, would be hard to fap to it actually but to propose a promotional hentai that is a bad end, seriously... it sucks. I would have enjoyed some lore/prequel to the story/game, not a "What If" scenario. Oh well !

I'm most concerned about the plot actually. I didn't look into it too much, but it seems like it'll just be one huge meme. Humor is great and all, but I would prefer a big budget game to have some actual stakes and serious moments.

I hear you, after the model reveal for the cornholio mantic i became worried about how much of the project they were taking seriously , but on their next update they revealed another mantic (Fuckenstein) it was a big, savage looking siege beast and after that my concerns were aleviated but not extinct.
The point is we can't know about how much nonsense they are going to put into the story or dialogue sequences unless they show it to us through their dev diaries because i doubt they are going to put story segments in their demos (their roadmap for this year includes only combat missions FOR the demo, as in new enemies and missions.)

Sorry to break it to you man but from what i understand of the pandora box mechanic is that you can select unlocked scenes with One of the women of the ship that means you can have Lily do a little foreplay with the Captain switch to Fortune blowing the Captain and finaly have sex with Killision.
The problem is that i don't see the developers putting multiple people in the same scene because that would generate too many possibilities and increse their workload tremendously for instance let's say you want a three way with Elaisha and the Huntress the developers would have to animate that three way for the three characters (Captain,Elaisha,Huntress) as well as for the rest of the crew and since that is too much work they might have settled for 1x1 scenes because those are easier to produce (like their previous works).
So bottom line, you can watch scene after scene with your favorite girls but i don't think more than 2 people( or monster) having fun is going to show in the scenes.

I'm well aware (wink, wink) of FOW's work and I'm not saying it should be a "one-option" only type of game. (Red Riding hood is my favorite, until the 2nd wolf shows up) They'll get a LOT more customers if you're able to "build your own kink." Personally, I'll do just about anything as long as I'm the only "sausage-giver."

I'm also saying the pay-out should be worth the work I put into it. If all I get is a 1v1 scene (that's vanilla) for collecting ALL waifus, then it's no different than a non-erotic game. May as well NOT buy. I recently played a (great) harem game on here, but the only harem scenes you got were with the immediate 3, main girls. and they only did basic stuff/positions. Very disappointing. Just because I want to be the only male giving the pleasure, it doesn't mean I want it to be boring.

If FOW goes the Kunoichi route then they should stop calling them waifus; those be common whores.

That's a shame. Too many games go this way. A lot of harem games/books end on a few scenes with one or two of the main girls and then end. All that hard work to be rewarded with 3 different colored ending (lmao). Wish there were more games with harem elements instead of the finale.

The way I read it, there was gonna be one huge monster/waifu orgy, but no MC orgy. I'm down for a little monster play (Cough, cough), but I still want to get my jollies off.

I'll wait to see the final product, obviously, but it's sounding like it's gonna be your typical smut game.
