And to be completely honest, I wouldn't hate it if it is a fun/inventive game when it comes out, I just am not holding my breath for that particular prospect. 500k isn't that much for a game studio or a movie studio.

More than 1 million. This kind of things usually don't end well. Too much money means too much responsability. And they are a small team with limited experience. This is too ambitious. Their previous games barely can be called games. Good art and ideas however.

My prediction is that they will actually try to make something amazing but they won't finish it and if they do, it will be a big disappointment.

Now, I need to play mass effect to understand all this hype a bit better.

I understand the devs didn't expect this much support but for between $550k-$2mil to not being going towards content for the actual game is a little alarming. Also I don't think the game-play will have anything to do with mass effect.

I honestly appreciate them not adding any further content to the stretchgoals.
In my opinion they would just run themselves into the ground planning and adding new stuff, that might not even fit into the core concept of the game.
This way they have funds for eventual DLCs just lying around and I'm more than happy with that prospect.

And to adress some of the other stuff I've read here:

- The guys designing the actual gameplay are experienced gamedevelopers, they brought into the fold when they comitted to making a real game instead of some little thing in flash or Unity.
-I can't guarantee anything of course, but one of the core members, Mr. Kristoff, has given several interviewsin which he stressed, that their stated goal, when they started the project, was to make a fun game without any microtransactions, lootboxing etc. whatsoever.

seriously, just go read the FAQ on the kickstarter page. I know I come of as a bit of a fanboy, but StudioFOW hasn't let me down yet, so I don't see why they'd start now.

I don't know, I saw their portfolio and it doesn't look great at all to me. Their so called games are pretty much animations put together... quite clumsily in fact. You say that they are "experienced gamedevelopers". What other games have they made apart from the ones they show in their portfolio? It's a honest question, maybe I lost something.

And your second comment, of course they don't need microtransactions. They will take 15 years to finish the game, and they will manage to get more money with patreon or something similar. In porn games microtransactions are not needed. People like to pay for unfinished products for decades. Ask to the guys that paid for breeding season or innocent witches.

I hope to be wrong and if that is the case, I will happily admit it. I just started playing mass effect a few days ago and this kind of game has a huge potential for porn.

Not to repeat myself, but they brought in the gamedevelopers for this project specifically. They were not originally part of the team and were hired, just to design the game-elements of subverse. I don't know which games the two of them worked on before this, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Also, they have a clear timeline and don't have other sources of income. They aren't joking when they are saying in the trailer "The studio that has been banned from patreon for making a werewolf eat out a girls butthole".

If they fuck this up I will be very disappointed, but they have their livelyhoods riding on this to a great degree. So I honestly believe they are smart enough to deliver. And even if they don't, flipping EA and other triple A studios the metaphorical bird is well worth the 23 Euros I have riding on this.

Also of note in my opninion is, that they got all the legal requirements and stuff out of the way, before they even announced anything to the public.

I'm in the states but that's exactly my stance too. And if not fow, I hope this business model opens the floodgates for other studios to come in and steal the lunch money from these companies. They've gotten away with being inept, moral busybody scammers for too long without consequence.

My opinion is that the gameplay needs to be fantastic.

Sure it is an H-game, but if they wish to grow the scene and their brand, they need great game play, now I am not expecting ikaruga/dodonpachi for the shmup or FFT/Front mission for the TBS RPG, but they should shoot for as close as possible to that good of game play. Become the western version of Japanese H-games with game play and story like Rance games, softhouse chara. Big bang age, Sakura Wars.

Achieving that is their stated goal, and the reason they hired programmers whose sole task is to take care of those elements.
They promised to release gameplay-trailers soon, so maybe that will give us more insight into how good the gameplay will actually be.
Just don't expect to be wandering around the Mary-Celeste "Mass Effect" style. They just don't have the expertise to realise stuff like that yet.

that means the people who donated 10$ in June will have the copy of the complete game?
Kinda... It is early access... but yes... I guess you do get the whole game
Unless the $10 is only for the early version and not the full completed version... Who knows...

Yes, you get the whole game for those 10 Pounds. It will be dilivered to you in chapters starting approximately late this summer, until it is finished around early next year.

one last question
1: how much chapter will the games have?
2: How long does the chapters take?
3: Will you have the option to configure the graphics of the games?

1. 10 Chapters
2. all 10 Chapters were said to be +40 hours or longer
3. Doesn't ever game have that?

Quoted from their website on FAQ Page
"How long do you intend the game will take to complete?"
"It's going to be at least a 30 hour game to complete everything (the main storyline, the sidequests and each of the waifu's loyalty missions)."

Quote was made on April 26....

And after all of those accomplishments, I think it will be definitely be more than 40+ hours to complete everything...
