Talk about over-hyped. I can see potential but the gameplay loop grind and the weird way to unlock H scenes is going to really turn me off from playing future updates. Not to mention I've seen better script dialogue in asset flip games. This game reminds me of that old school porn game Bone Town where its over the top silliness is fine, but that silliness doesn't cover up that the actual story content is lacking / nonexistent. Script plays out like a porn movie "Oh heeeey captain you saaaved me lets fuuuck". And I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the game plays out exactly like this, not just the one character.

One thing I will defend is that this is Studio Fow. They have always been notorious for having monsters and big alt-races fucking women. So the monster stuff is not surprising in the slightest. You're pretty dumb if you expected something else. It would be like going to NLT's games and being mad there's MILFs. Well no shit, all their games/works have had that in them lol.

I think it's fine line of focus, I mean they were obviously aiming to make it as crass as possible as they are a porn studio, not erotica. If it was erotica sure, but porn's main goal is cum splattering good sex mixed with gameplay in this matter. The fact they even delivered a passable product without relying on a Daz3d model is an achievement.

You guys really need to look at some good SFM scenes or even FOW's earlier work (in terms of quality, not subject material). You can have Lara Croft, 2B, Tifa, D-va, you name it in full HD getting dicked down in 5 minute+ scenes. That's where the bar is _at minimum_ for an animation studio like this backed by 2 million.

It does feel like it was made somewhere between 2016 or earlier when SFM gaining traction on the Net. Kinda reminds me of their earlier works in Newgrounds.

I am very confused. I've collected all the scenes and upgraded all the things I could. I've dated waifus for a reason I thought it would help. But, there aren't any more missions. I just don't know what to do. Is this where the game ends for now?

If you go back a couple of pages, people are saying after "defeating" the Huntress is where the road ends.

Some of the good folks at Steam paid 30 bucks for this. Consider you somehow dodged the bullet.

Yeah. bought for $30 and almost instantly refunded. Somehow sad as I was really looking forward to this game for months.

I unlocked all scenes and cmon... I love the animation a lot but you barely interact with the scene,s you cant move the camera unless you use 3rd programs (getting animations bugs) only 5 scenes or so let you speed up and cum , the rest are gifs from r34.

I hope they fix this, they did great movies in the past...

The porn aspect of Subverse is a complete joke. It's like developers never played a porn game in their life. After the initial sex scene you get NO sex in the story. You can't even flirt with girls via dialogs. Everything is just in a Pandora mode which is just a Gallery mode pretty much. But Gallery is usually just a bonus thing to rewatch the stuff you unlocked in the main game, here's it's THE porn expirience you're getting.
The scenes themselves are just short loops without any interactivity. You can find plenty of these on any r34 site.

The whole point of making a porn game is to provide the context to the scenes. To add buildup and dialogs. Subverse has nothing of it. And it looks like they don't even want to change anything, their mod on Steam forums just keep talking some bullshit on how it's super hard to implement sex in the story, like wtf? Are these guys even serious? It's hard to integrate sex scenes in a porn game?..

After first 30 minutes of playing I was extremely close to buying the game but after one more hour I realised that there's absolutely nothing. Instead of focusing on lewd stuff and fill the game with sex they put the sex into some weird bonus Pandora mode and actual game is just grind grind words words words grind grind words words words, rinse and repeat.

Their amusing little setting started to get really annoying on how much attention they give to all the characters and stuff. This stuff should be complementary to the porn ffs not the main focus.

I honestly don't expect anything good out of it after reading the forums and how their mod is defending absolute shit which is Pandora. They clearly don't want to change anything and try and make an actual porn game out of it and just want to add more cringy dialogs and 3s animation loops and that's it.

This man speaks the truth. A porn game which treats the porn as an after thought will be garbage. Us pervs will go through the shittiest RPG Maker gameplay and horrible machine translations to get to porn that is good enough but not vice versa. The scenes are literally just gifs with no context, dialogue, transitions, different angles etc. which is absolutely bottom tier for a porn game.

I've wish-listed this game since that time they clashed with Tim Pool over the franchise's name and how in mere months they amassed 2 million just for this game...

That turned out to be one of FOW's biggest letdowns.

They are one of the "Gods among Mortals" in terms of animation quality, length, and overall concept...

But they are similar to a toddler solving the secrets of the pharaoh regarding game development -- which is in and of itself is a good place to start, but a very steep hill to learn and overcome it.

Subverse is going to have multi-minute long scenes, akin to FOW's raffle animations, as rewards for completing companion loyalty quests.

Also, length is not indicative of quality. Opiumud puts out long, 20+ minute, videos, but they are animated worse then most 5 second SFM/Blender loops. As do other people like Onagi, and Lord Aardvark, with similar results. They are longer, but the animation is far more stiff/robotic. And I would rather watch a FPSBlyck 5 second loop then one of their movies because its actually animated better.

This ties into how things like Blender aren't necessarily better then SFM in terms of animation itself. Blender is better at lighting, because Blender actually has a whole lighting system in it compared to SFM. But if you look at most Blender animations, even ones from people who can put out good looking animations like Yeero, FPSBlyck, HydraFXX, you will notice they are typically very slow/low impact animations, with very basic/minimal jiggles. And people like Noname55, or Drills3D, achieve(d) the same quality of animation(not lighting) in SFM.

You rarely see the kind of fast/hard impact stuff you get out of FOW's movies because thats a pain to animate, even with non SFM animation programs. The speed/intensity of things like Lily taking it from the dildo machine in Subverse is something you don't see much.

As for the animation quality of Subverse, its the same as their later movies, which is still better then most SFM/Blender out there. Compared to something like most FPSBlyck, Yeero, or HydraFxx, clips, there is actually a lot more animation in these scenes. The lighting is better in those guys loops because of Blender, but the actual overall animation itself is fairly basic.

Drills3D is still the kingof overall animation quality, unfortunatly he wasted it on the most disgusting content out there.

Neither. The rating is too high. It's 10% at best. It's an 80s space shooter, X-Com TBS combat, bad gameplay and so and so graphics, tons of load screens. It has absolutely zero sex appeal. For an adult game it's disappointing. As a space shooter it's even more disappointing.

Just an FYI if you turn post processing off the blurriness when using the camera hack goes away. However the scenes were still very much designed solely to be viewed from the one angle.

Because they put the bare minimum of work into the scenes. If you view them from any other angle their quality falls apart very quickly. Any scene with the MC only his dick has any animation. In half of them his body is clipping into some piece of furniture, hell in the doctors recruitment scene he has little baby trex arms. In the doctors tentacle scene the tentacle aimed at her vag doesn't actually go anywhere near it. They put the bare minimum effort into making the scenes and the fixed camera is used to hide it.

I put the save in my saves folder, any idea why the game isn't recognizing it?

make sure you REPLACE your old save file (you must first play the game for like a couple minutes, that way, you have a save file set up). Once you have a save file, just use my save file that I provided and drag it into that folder (make sure my save file is the same name as your save file, if not, just edit my save file so it matches with yours).
Once you have done that, it should work (make sure you ONLY have my save in there. The game won't recognize two save files)

You dont the only saving at the moment is automatic.

I agree with what you are saying but Drills3d isn't the best imo
his stuff lacks any real impact and is just weird shuffling most of the time, there isn't much weight in his penetrations
