Hah, this is tiresome.
No matter what game, no matter the situation, you'll always find people voicing their "concern" or "critism" in non-chalant ways. It's always "Devs are lazy, drip feeding, money-grabbing" etc. and they all have insight in what's going on and their words are the "absolute truth".
I had to giggle reading "Guy's on a broken record" from one of these kind of persons because you are in no position to talk yourself I reckon?
I think we can kinda agree that we all expect certain things from 'Subverse' and some of the things that already have been delivered look very promising, no? I mean, name me another lewd-game that can hold it's candle compared to Subverse?
The issue in all of this, at least from my perspective, is the communication between what FOW has published as laid-out plan and content and in what has been delivered at this point (paired with the time that has passed so far). Clearly, most of us simply want more "playable" or "interactive" stuff that keeps us entertained in one way or another. And seeing that some stuff has rather been "low-effort"-content can be disheartening no doubt. I totally get that.
However, labeling the situation as your regular "greedy devs, all shit, kys, hurr durr" surely won't bring you anywhere. If anything it makes you look like your regular 4chan-inhabitant and people will just scroll past to your moronic input.
Let's be honest, Subverse is some high-quality lewd-stuff on the market and even though most of us expected more content at this very moment we can pretty much expect some very good stuff once we reach the end of the road. And it's very unlikely it gets outdated very quickly at that point because there are barely, if any, contenders right now with that type of quality (hopefully however it'll encourage other creators to step up their game as well).
So far FOW has not delivered on all promises of what they've planned so far but then again, they've never been in that kind of business before either and all things considered they're doing a solid job regardless. Of course I'd rather see 50+ scenes here and animated movies and all the devotion stuff etc etc. Don't we all? But we'll get there. I've seen easier projects with worse outcomes and as long as they keep doing what they're doing I'll be fine supporting this said project.
It's pretty pointless to fight with each other in this kind of forum; tinfoil-fanatics will always assume the worst outcome of any given situation. It'll never change. Maybe they get a kick out of some honest reactions towards their nonsense? Can't really tell nor do I really care too much.
Though I think it's fair to say that we'd all like to see Subverse to flourish and become that game that we've been promised at some point, no? Would be a nice change of pace for once if we could have a somewhat civilized discussion about this topic.
Cheers!
