That's a strange rope for them to hang themselves with. They're not selling it as "the game minus most of the lewd content" they're selling it as "the game as it is being developed", so that is what people will naturally expect when they pay for it, and when they get a whole lot of game with none of the actual stuff they wanted from that game, naturally they'll get pissy about it.
The people who backed the game, and the people who bought it, wanted porn. It would actually have made more sense to frontload the nsfw stuff and add the gameplay stuff as an afterthought rather than the reverse, because that was the idea they were selling when they made this game. Now they made some money, but their reputation is in tatters for it.
And I can almost guarantee that you're wrong, these devs have not been saving the nsfw stuff, they've just been fucking lazy with this game's development. Probably because it suits them to milk more money out of crowdfunding idiots who are actually dumb enough to still trust them after all this shit lol.
It says it's version 0.9, i take that to mean the game's about 90% complete. I doubt the 10% is just all the nsfw content that they didn't add, quite strongly. If it was, it'd be 1.0 now.
