I'm gonna wait until the full release to give my final verdict, but it's not looking good. I didn't have any hopes for the gameplay being interesting and it's about as functional as I expected, but the game is a letdown in the FOW aspects I came to expect. I really hope this is just a small taste of the complete package. Cringey memetastic dialogue and disconnected animation loops for lewdness isn't enough for me to suffer through this uninspired world building and gameplay. Sorry to say.

Nice beginning I have to say !
The animations and cutscenes are quite good with no lag or issues during my play, the gameplay is simple but efficient in many ways (it's not too hard or too easy to get the scenes or achieve the missions).
I hope the next release will give us a full control over our ship, I mean we can't actually upgrade any area and the Engineering room is useless for now.

Concerning the story, well it's pretty classic but I like the different inspirations they took to make their game (you can see some Mass Effect influence, but also Star Wars, MCU, or WH40k). The intro is a little long (1h maybe more) but the game in itself is really cool and fun

Good job FOW I regret to found that game after its crowfunding is finished... Well hope to see Act II soon ^^

The rance sex scenes have context and dialog. Actual effort put into having them make sense with whats happening on screen. As other people stated, this is just a game where you use points to unlock a gallery instead.
Also on a different note about the Pandora system, regardless of what the devs claim, they did this because it was the simplest way of doing it with the least amount of effort. This stops them from having to write sex scene dialogue or build up. That is why they did this, no other reason. You can still easily make things optional with out going a route this lazy.

There is about as much "context" to porn in most porn games as "step bro I got stuck in the dryer" porn movies have. Like a lot of the sex in Rance is "I defeated you in battle, now I will rape you becuase I am Rance and that is what I do!"

Thats nice combination of lies and idiocy. Most porn games that was made after 95 has plot in porn scenes. Even fucking "step bro I got stuck in the dryer" has context of partisipants being kinda-siblings, one partisipant being there unwillingly and that one partisipant starts the scene in provocative pose. This way people who is going to masturbate to it can relate themselfs to situation, imagining iether having a sexy non-sibling under their roof or being stuck and giving in to unavoidable pleasure. Same goes to Rance were people most likely relate themselfs to Rance, who is sex-terrorist, traversing universe and having sex with willing and not so willing parters without consequnces, giving them best fuck of their lives and making them whant more.

Games that do try to tie the porn directly into the plot get mocked because of how bad the writing is. Look at Summertime Saga, its the porn game with the most patrons of any porn game out there, and is the third most patroned project on Patreon. I have never once seen anyone actually claim to like Summertime Saga's story. The only thing people enjoy is that some of the girls are hot, and they want to see them get fucked. In fact, every time DC tries to do a story update there is collective moaning because it means one less update where we aren't seeing the girls people care about getting new scenes. The only time there was any praise of SS's writing was the Roxy update, and even that was only "in relation to the rest of SS's writing this is good".

People tend to take good writing as norm. If DC would have just dropped animated scene without any context, like "press x to fuck goth girl" and than bam, you are seing animation without any backstory of where and when and why and how you are banging a goth girl, than his patrons will go ballistic of such neglectance.

The same is true of things like Milfy City, Being a DIK, Good Girl Gone Bad, and especially Seeds of Chaos. People just shit all over those games for awful writing, unlikable characters, and the devs extending plots out for years, instead of actually letting us have sex with the girls. The devs know no one cares about their mediocre melodrama, and just want to see the main girl take it, and the moment they do everyone is going to bail because that is what they are there to see. So they stall it out to rake in the cash. And Seeds of Chaos has its own problems where getting to anything requires reading the whole Lord of the Ring trilogy between each scene.

Because people are idiots who dont understand how hard it is to write a porn scene. And if people shit about writing, than they actually are interrested in it being done well. There is also need to be distinction between game plot(which is general story) and porn scene plot(which is a scenario of this actual sex scene)

Now compare to FOW's movies. They barely had any context or plot beyond things like "demons are invading Tokyo and raping all the girls!" like the Kunoichi series, and FOW was by miles the biggest SFM/Blender animation group on Patreon because of it. No one cares about the plot of Kunoichi, they just want a bare bones premise for putting the girls into situations to get fucked.

Most of their movies have at least some scene plot. 2B undergoing violent sex experiments, Major being hacked, kidnapped and brainwashed into a slut and so on. This is a plot, good enough to most.

The same is true of the vast majority of doujin. Most doujin are like 30 pages long, with a "step bro I got stuck in the dryer" type plot. The ultra long form narrative ones are the small minority, and most of those don't turn out well in the end either.

Maybe tentacle attacked when she was asleap or maybe its capitain being idiot released it on her mid dinner?
