Now that I've finished the available content I'm able to see why some people have an issue with the game, but by no means does it deserve all the hate it seems to be getting. First off, yeah, the porn content is fairly lacking and takes some time to unlock. But it didn't take long before I stopped playing the game for the porn and was focused on the story/writing/character interactions. It's funny throughout, and it really seems like they're setting up for a pretty complex and interesting story. That said, there were several points where I felt the exposition dragged on WAY too long. All in all though the fantastic voice acting and amusing writing carried me through the end; I was bummed to realize I'd reached the end of early access. Seems like it's going to be quite a while before the game is complete but I'm sure the finished product will be something special.

I see no hatred. All I see is criticism.

You mean the game which is on Patreon since more than 3 years and when you click on "start the game" it redirect you to the patreon page of the creator ?
Yea isnt subverse 2 - 3 years in the making (and the final product is a watchable Dialoge with short h clips ) ?
It is for 30 € on steam and either complete free to play, so what u want ??

You think the reason people mention money is just because they're pointing at the money as the reason?
The money went to voice acting, went to 3d modeling, went to developing the game.

The disappointment regarding money isn't just that the game has 2 million dollars backing it. It's how it was spent, and the game received.

I follow quite a few early access games. I can tell you that even among the early access games, this game isn't that high up.
Every game on this site is a early access game until its completed... There is things released with a 2 minute intro of some nice renders with a cringefest of text that make people go apeshit and plaster 5 star reviews all over the place.

How money is spent doesn't matter diddly before you see the finished product. Difference with Subverse though and all of these other games/vn's (whatever). You did cash up front for entire game, you didn't end up pledge 10 bucks (whatever) to a creator for years. Then again, on a site such as this that dedicated to piracy of adult content, the whole money issue is stupid to start with.

Subverse is in early access. The release is considered a 0.1 if any. And no one know what or how the final product will end up be.

Ratings are one of the least useful metrics of game popularity anywhere, be it here/Steam/Metacritic/wherever. The vast majority of people don't rate games in the first place, which skews ratings to the hardcore, and thus makes them non representative of the mainstream. This is skewed even further in recent years due to stupid stuff like brigades of people vote bombing/pushing up review scores. And the fact that more specialty sites such as this one tend to rate things as either 5 stars or 1 star, with little in the way of nuanced middle opinions.
Ratings/reviews on this site compared to like steam, that's completely two different animals. You can have a 0.1 intro release show up on this site with very nice renders, and some garbage story a 5yr old could put together and people bombard it with 5 stars and praise it to the sky. And for all they know, couple months later it carry an abandoned tag.

Take Subverse on steam, it got atm 8069 reviews of which 6988 is positive (3317 very positive) and 1081 negative.
The only other adult game on steam that got some frontpage headline lately I can think about is Huniepop double date, which got 5399 reviews total so far with 4959 being positive. (From my brief stint with Double date, my conclusion ended up; people that get excited from this, get an erection from playing Candy Crush or similar as well).

Someone did mention House Party above some place. It still show as "early access" on steam (since 2017). In terms of reviews after almost 4 years in early access on steam it got 8789 reviews of which 7772 positive and 1017 negative. Someone said they made 5 mill on it? idk...

As for people vote/review bombing, afaik that more about give bad reviews/rating than the opposite. I think some shady developers more prone to up vote their own shit than their fan's inclined to.

I will agree that the rating system and review system is out of whack. There needs to be a better way to stop bombing in general because you have to two extremes that ruin any room for fair reviews. Site likes Steam and Metacritic would rather take a hand off approach until they get accused of something only then intervening.

I have seen many times people trashing a game because SJW's somehow ruined it and also seen those same types of people upvote trash games simply because it's a middle finger to the boogeyman.

Hardly see it as a SJW problem people trashing adult games review bombing them etc though. The whole SJW label is stupid, it's like gather a wide range of people and beliefs under one and judge them. Same as with group everything in the center or at the right as the same. I rather look at it as there is idiots in all camps. You have people get upset over seeing a naked boob, ass (whatever), in a game and then go on a rampage about it, meanwhile they have no calms about playing Call of duty etc where whole purpose is to kill other players.

You have idiot politicians (yes, all over the world) that campaign to outlaw the likes of GTA because it got carjacking in it, but have no issue support NRA and peoples right to arm themselves with AR's (whatever automatic weapons) and join in on the "hopes and prayers" at the next mass shooting.

Stereotyping, group labeling etc is just fucked up. Idiots being idiots... I can agree with people all over the specter but doesn't mean I agree with everything they say or stand for.

You hardly see it as a sjw problem because it's not a sjw problem. It's a person who gets a taste of power problem and decides to abuse it. This is a problem the majority of people suffer from. The Sjw part of my post was me pointing a small reason of why the review/rating system is messed up from what I saw.

The best thing would be to review only games with a "completed tag", but knowing how many games here are never completed, the whole review system would become useless.

Maybe should had something similar to "steam curators" on the site. Reviews and recommendations that is less based on bias and emotions. There is those that make great reviews around here, just, they in a minority imho.

doesn't work for me. how do you find the values?
*Start the game, get to the point where Upgrades are unlocked.
*Turn on CE and select the game EXE.
*Value is 4byte.
*Scan your current Bio or PP.
*Buy an upgrade or complete a mission.
*Scan your current Bio or PP again.
*Repeat until there's 5 or less addresses in the list.
*Once you've got 5 or less, Select them all and add them to your code list by clicking the red arrow or double clicking the address.
*Change the value one by one to something random like 987 and see if it changes in game too after you re-open the buy menu.
*If the value in-game is changed then that's your address, all the other ones are useless so delete them.

Now what you do Next depends if you want to Never scan again or if you're going to do this cheat only once.
For example if you add 9999 Bio and close the game, you will still have 9999 bio but you will have to Scan again if you want to change it. Addresses randomize every game start.

A) IF you don't care about changing the values some time in the future and just want to keep them at 9999, then:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

B) IF you want to be able to change your values all the time then (this gets a bit complicated):

This is a pretty lackluster game from what I've played. The unfortunate reality is that most Western eroge games are either abandoned, simple VN's, or being milked to high hell with crowdfunding. There are only a handful of good quality, complete games (like Noxian Nights). Of course this game will stand out when being compared to them.

Very disappointing, but not unexpected given the standards of the Western adult game scene. If anyone wants good adult scenes and gameplay, I would recommend Sengoku Rance and the recently localized Venus Blood game (has more hardcore scenes as a warning).

Well yes, everyone's post here are obviously their own opinions.... who would have thought otherwise?

I also find it funny how, most of the time, when people say "by this logic" the response almost never has anything to do with the argument presented.

Not all, or even most, 3D games are like Fallen Doll. Most 3D games are VNs like most porn games are in general. And those VNs are far better then Fallen Doll.
At least this game dont force you going online that call Harem mode to get exclusive scenes, characters. :Kappa::KEK:
