This is very disappointing. I stopped caring about Illusion games precisely because they are just animations with no context or build up. At least this has a story but that's still shitty.

Backpedaling and damage controlling? Where? It was a stretch goal. They were paid to put it in the game...and before they even thought of Subverse at least half of their animations were bestiality. It's not like the backers thought they'd be playing as the alien dog.

And you can get that, by going to the waifu on the ship and talking to them.

It's more about the combination, to be honest. If there's little to no actual lead-up to the scenes, one may just as well play a real game and watch real porn, or so.

But that's just me, I guess there are enough people who like it that way. Maybe I'll look into it when it's actually done...

Yea okay, but those VN Games usually don't have a team and 2 years of development until their 0.1 release. I'm just disappointed man and they won't tell us an update schedule.

I would assume that the main reason the initial chapters took so long is due to the team needing to create their own tools and workflow. They aren't a game studio, and the probably used the initial time getting used to it. Still though, it doesn't change the fact that they launched an incomplete game, but personally, the quality of what we have is enough to give me faith that they'll finish the game. If they planned on running with the money, they would've done that already, or they would've released shovelware.
