Sorry if i sound ignorant but there's a ton of messages here.
Why is this game 60+ gbs? The menus look like static images that you click, battles are isometric and are the scene real-time or videos? I'm guessing real-time coz there could be some costume choices and stuff... So what gives? I just don't see how it can be this big (pun intended)

As mentioned there's both 1080p and 4k cinematics included.

No they've been saving it all up for the 1.0 launch. Given that saves will be reset then, I'd say its a good incentive for people to play through again, when there'll be plenty of new content to see.

That is the goal, yes. They designated the last quarter as their intended window. But they're not one to give a date til its ready.

Bed in the captain’s quarters for Pandora. As for the pre-recruitment teasers for now, you’d need to replay the dialogue section where they occur in the story. There’s a tablet in the captains quarters for that as well.

So I played this for a bit and is it all just grinding two meh game modes to unlock different animations in the gallery?
I mean gameplay wise it feels almost worse than a kinetic novel lol. Animations are top tier for sure, but for the most part it feels like the game itself is there just to waste your time.

There’s smut in the story, it’s just not the majority. The scenes within Pandora can be boiled down to all the fucking the crew does in between the story beats. While the most relevant scenes (recruitment and devotion) are part of the story.

The longest content is also yet to be added as they chose to hold the best scenes until 1.0

FOW-chan will be added after 1.0. So don't take it to mean leaving early access to mean that they'll be done with the game. 1.0 purely means the story of the game is done.
