The game is not bad, I actually had some fun playing it. The problem is that Subverse is NOT a "porn game". It's a "game with porn".

The animations are not part of the story and are a sequence of random videos that have no context. If they fixed that, I think it would be one of the best. But it will never happen.
If we take that into consideration, Wild Life is better, the animations are 100 times better.

I'm of the opinion where I was curious about the devotion reward cinematics as well, however...I have not viewed them all but only viewed a couple of the ones I'm slightly curious of. I'm surprised (not seen it yet) Lily has a 6 minute scene but other girls barely have 4 minutes. Tarons scene is a bit... underwhelming. Like it's hot, but, not enough cum or visible squirting for my liking.

Blythes scene has loads of good sex in it and some decent climax scenes but the jumping around/cutting is a bit distracting, I wanna see the cum persist between scenes...I want it be thicker and I want there to be MUCH more of it. Same with Sova, her scenes are really hot but the jumping around with cuts is slightly distracting... I wanna see more of that cum man, the squirting parts are really hot but I dunno...I wanna just see MORE of it and much more "persistence" between scenes.

I won't mention any more other than I am very pleased with Elas...that on the other hand, is excellent. That could easily become a 20 minute scene by itself which I'd happily pay for! It's excellent, so it's really jarring how awesome some are and a bit lacking others are of the ones I've seen.

However that's it. I won't be watching any more because funnily enough I actually like the game as well, the animations are great, the voice actresses are also very very good and deserve a TON of credit overall in my play through.

I would really like to see more animated or pandora "climax" scenes, I feel too many of the foreplay clips could easily end up in a cum shot or deeper sex but don't, I also think it would be nice to have smoother transitions between scenes and "cum" to actually..."cum" without a button press.

Overall thus far...I'm really enjoying it and appreciate the work put in! I really really hope they focus on more lewd content DLC and sex in general! This has to be the focus, more cum, more sex, more dirty talk and more animation! It's what we all want...oh and Celestina of course...!!

I think they kinda missed the point in making it into a game.
Instead of using plot of the game to make sex scenes have more impact, they simply made plot because it was necessery (making it mostly tidious skipping for a player), and detached porn scenes (that kinda have zero impact as they are without rich context).

even on launch the game was meh

Problem is - as always - dumb clowns who think they are THE DEVS. They encountered almost all possible problems during development. Poor management, lack of gamedesign, lask of overal understanding of what they want to do(ok, thats gamedesign too) and so on and so forth. The thing is - half of that shit could be avoided with fucking READING - some gamedev books or specialized forums. But from what I saw they choose to make their mistakes. Again - it was before 1.0. What do we have here - still unknown to me.

This used to work in previous versions but in this version it seems to ignore the save file in
C:\Users\<username here>\AppData\Local\Subverse\Saved\SaveGames\SubverseSaveGame001\0.sav

However, in loading the game you'll see nothing has changed so don't know where the "real" save is.

I have never played any version of the game because generally I wait for a projects completion but even back then, like in the middle of development I remember that exactly this was a voice of concern and critique of many players.

I never made a deep dive of information for the game but I thought with this many people pointing it out the devs sure made adjustments to it. Alas it seems they even double downed on the decision to have the game and porn as a seperate being.
I remember lengthy discussions that people had with a dude with an Vincent Valentine Avatar that defended this. xD

It is about the disconnect of the story from the porn.

As I cracked the game with Goldberg, the save location should be somewhere in the normal steam folder. On the pages back there should be comments with the location. Need to prob delete the app data saves.

Old saves also might work when placed in the correct folder.

It will have as many bugs and errors as any other game dos on release, including whats listed in known issues. You got the second half right, assuming you don't want to replay it from the beginning.
