They are busy trying to bypass Steam new rules regarding DLCs, as they are not allowed by Steam to distribute any sort of content to specific users and not make the content they shared publicly available. This type of thing, had a lot of fuss over it couple months ago, and Steam made a change to the distribution stating that any DLC released, needs to be publicly available to the users with the exception of battlepasses as those need full transparency with what content will be available, when and for how long. Thanks to that they just stated in their steam forums that they are trying to bypass this to give kickstarter people their DLCs that will not be available on steam or any other platform and steam doesn't allow this types of distribution anymore. This was their anouncement couple days ago, search the studio 69 discussion on steam and you will find their post.

But this game had all the pretensions to the plot. And as soon as a work encroaches on the plot value, I have a number of red flags.
