Doesn't help that this person(not you, Atl92) completely disregarded the scope of the game's project through its own promises and advertisements. It's true that other games have less gameplay, less content, and/or less quality. But many of those games were smaller in size. Subverse had a great turnout with their kickstarter success. Many of their advertisements, especially earlier ones, kept touting that they were a hornier version of Mass Effect. A "porn" "game" that put more emphasis on the latter while not sacrificing the former. If I recall, they said they might be the first "AAA" porn game at the time. My review for this game was originally 4 Stars when it first came out in Early Access, because of the prospect and potential.

Their ideas and concepts are fine but the execution is poor. It's like the game had little to no proper direction or leadership. It's like they tried to be a SHMUPS, Mass Effect, XCOM, and Visual Novel elements all-together. Then didn't even try to go deeper with at least one of them(except for the VN) and stopped trying half-way. Any game can be a "masterpiece" if you had poorly executed gameplay, content, or quality elements. You have to have NEVER played any other "AAA" game with or without adult themes, then you might find this game impressive.

My point here still stands:



If you like the game then more power to you. You enjoyed it far more than most, but completely disregarding all of the reviews that commonly points out fundamental issues is straight up ignorant.

In my opinion, the game had everything but direction. Whoever was the game director had no clear direction on what this game wanted to be. A Visual Novel? A Mass Effect Parody? A 4th Wall Comedy? A X-COM clone? A Touhou-style SHMUPs game? Instead it threw all of its dice at once for all of the boards and VN just had the majority roll.

What other games are out there at this same level of production with the quality scenes and whatnot?

In the future you can simply write %appdata% as a shortcut to AppData\Roaming folder and %localappdata% as a shortcut to AppData\Local folder. Doing this will still take you to correct folders without needing to mention or write C:\Users\username part. For example you could simplify this path C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves like this: %appdata%\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves

I'm well aware of the various means of reaching Appdata or writing it down so as to reach it more efficiently. However I didn't write anything except a slight edit to the username part, I simply copied the address as text. It would take me more time to write it your way then mine. My only goal was to provide the location not the most effective means of getting to it.

it's still a complete travesty that their game for the scenes it's all pre rendered and does not include the basic interactive gameplay from illusion games (tons of sex positions, full 3d navigation, fluids, etc) and Illusion accomplished that with way less budget.
They totally squandered the budged on mediocre vanilla action/tactic gameplay that it's the last thing people care about in fucking porn game

Getting constant Fatal Error crashes after about 10 minutes in game.

Same here, i can play maybe 30, 40 min and then it crash

The reviews for this game blow my mind. Like this game is on a level 99.9% of the games here will never reach or achieve. I even looked at reviews by some of the people giving it 2 and 3 starts, and then they give 5 stars to games that have even less gameplay, less quality and less content. It just goes to show how worthless most reviews are these days. I have 95 hours in the game because I bought it years ago when it first came out on Steam, so I've played it all along the way, multiple times through (well, to the end of the then-current content). It's not perfect, but man is it just simply top-tier all around. I get the criticism that there's not enough sex scenes during the story telling - but I disagree. There's the right amount - because this isn't a fucking porno story. They really tried to have a compelling story in a sex-crazed universe. I don't know, it really worked for me. I've played adult/hentai games since 2002 - I've seen very few games in this space reach this high and see completion.

I gave it a 1/5, and its easy to explain why.

pros:

+ The characters (I really like the characters design and the personalities from the different characters)
+ animations (The sex scenes animations are great)
+ voice acting (moaning sounds during the H scene

Neutral

o The plot (the plot is not interesting but also not bad)

cons:

- The writing from this game, this includes the main story, side story and interaction with the characters. (It is so badly written, that I “cringe” towards the writing. It is so over the top that I started to skip all dialogs.)
- no dialogue during H scene (This is definitely missing in the H scenes)
- The humor is with the writing so bad (That I started to skip all of the dialog)
- uninteresting combat combat (The combat missions are all repetitive and boring. At least the main story missions are different)
- They casted a SFW actress for Kasidora and made her un-lewdable (It was a stupid decision from the start of the devs. And I am surprised how out of touch they are. It was clear from the beginning, that there are people that will lewd Kasidora. But it is now impossible, to lewd her in game.)
- H-content mostly not integrated in the story and dumped in a Gallery system (This is my main critic point)
- The game forces you grind as much as possible to earn points to unlock the Gallery




There are games from this forum, created by small teams or even a single person, that I enjoy far more than this one.

The funny thing is, they mocked Mass Effect 3's ending, but I actually prefer that ending over this game.
