With the constant use of the term waifu and harem. Yes they mislead a lot of stupid people who heard what they wanted to hear. Even back in the day when people pointed this out and asked them directly about it, they gave cagey answers about how things were going to work. If the devs were honest, they never would have used waifus or harems for their marketing.
Just to throw a monkey wrench in this whole NTR discussion. You do realize that how you define NTR in this discussion, all female chars in harem games get NTR erd right? netoried ... since the MC fucks more than just 1 woman... why is that not netori for them? the discussion is mute, you don't like that the girls also get fucked by monsters? cool move on, play something else, no use discussing it what is NTR and what is not (NTR is if a male and female are in a relationship and one of them fucks someone else, in subverse, no1 is in a relationship) .... anyway... great Voice Acting, interesting story, i like the shootemup aspect of the game, kind of meh with the whole heroes of might and magic combat, but it's tolerable .... the problem is... what studiofow was suppose to be good at.... the piece of resistance if you will.... is the part that is boched up... No interaction (except 1-2 scenes per girl and that's very limited, just speed and cum), no build up, no nothing. It's a game with a gallery (museum) where you go in and watch the girls get fucked by a monster or a dude with no head (doesn't show the head cause that's suppose to be the MC). They fucked up the thing they were suppose to be good at, from aprox 21 animations, i only liked one with kili

Waifu was never meant to be serious when the cast is clearly a bunch of sluts. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. If people actually took it as some serious, Mass Effect esque space opera where you get to romance the girls like they're all Liara T'soni, then they were, quite frankly, retarded.

It's fine, wanted to upset some ppl that are already triggered, and leave my review for it (i'm an original backer). The only thing they really lied about that and i got upset over was the whole early access thing. They said they won't release EA for backers cause it doesnt' fit subverse... and look now it's in early access. They changed their mind fine... but the state of sex scene for such a long development and the fact that's where they were suppose to shine, kind of hurts

Sorry but it just doesn't work that way. Even if they thought they were using it ironically, it doesn't come off well in a lot of their marketing or text. People assumed they were serious, and when people asked them about it. They basically didn't give straight answers back then, confusing the issue. So while I think those people were naive, it doesn't change the fact the devs had ample oppertunity to just be straight up about it when they were directly asked. I think they knew it would piss people off, which is why they stayed vague. Hence I think they were scummy and mislead a lot of dumb people. I can't respect that, at least most devs here are entirely upfront when asked directly. Sub-verse devs really weren't. They should haven't used waifus or harems in their marketing and then this thread wouldn't be full of bitching about it. Admittedly then I wouldn't be able to see this giant shitstorm I knew was coming, which would be kinda sad.
Now to contribute something more useful than argueing with communists: Does anyone else have occassional stutters in the movies, while everything else works fine?
Can't figure out the reason. My cores are peaking at 50%, my GPU tops at 60%, and i'm running this from an SSD, so bandwidth shouldn't be the issue either. 1920x1080 screenres by the way. Anyone else have the same problem?
