Define NTR. Because if you want to be the only one fucking your girls, yeah, just don't buy the scenes with feature them and a partner other then the captain. However, since no actual NTR is happening in any scene, I suppose that's up for grabs.

EDIT: NTR as a genere involves, knowingly or unknowingly, fucking others behind your partners back, and potentially getting off on it. Since the Captain and everyone have an open relationship and are, in theory, well aware of everyone's sluttery, its not really NTR.

Yeah man, at the moment, there are only 3 unavoidable sex scenes, and all 3 of them are the Captain with the Waifus, but frankly, I would advise you to buy everything, I wouldnt even describe those scenes beign actual "NTR", but I get that NTR is seen as sex with "male" that is not the Main Character, and is easier beign that way on this site.
Also, imagine like this, the Seno are controlled with a collar that makes them do everything that you say, so imagina that, when there is monster fucking, it is only you, but on a monster body

I get some frame drops if to many explosions go off at once, but I've not encountered any other problems that this thread has encountered. The screen flashing must be a hardware thing. Try messing with the settings some and see if that helps.

As far as I see, and know, Subverse is taking a step into something knew, it is not a porn only game, it is a game, with gameplay and everything else, just like a normal game on steam that you would enjoy for the fun of it, but with fucking tons of porn, and for me, having more and more of this is the future that I hope for.

Outside of the shitstorm going on. The fact people are mentioning that most of the sex scenes are without context and have no story to them is funny as hell to me. The point of a porn game is to give context and story to a sex scene, otherwise why not just use the 3 million or whatever they got to just make a bunch of loops and release them.

That is my one complaint about the game.

I'd much rather have sex scenes as part progressing in the story or visiting a waifu on the ship and in the conversation have sexy options depending on her devotion and maybe something else.
Buying animations unlocked by grinding that are just loops to chain together wasn't a good call. I feel like I'm just using a website to look at porn with pandora.

Plus there's no dirty talk during the sex!

Absolutely agree that the sex scene and the game are not connected and feel pretty cheaply tacked on.

I agree. Subverse is a step in a bold new direction. And like all such endeavors, its gonna have a rocky start. But that is what the early access if for. To understand how to implement their ideas in the best way possible, learning and growing as they put the finishing touches on their vision. And I, for one, am very, very hopeful for the finished product.

The amount of "discussion" in this thread is... well, not unexpected, but definitely annoying to sift through. As for the game itself, I have to say that it has very high production value, but it's disappointing in terms of actual pornographic content and associated gameplay. Since at least half of the final product is missing (6/22 chapters released) it's not worth judging it as a finished project yet, but what's currently there isn't that much in terms of either gameplay or porn.

If you strip away the presentation and spectacle, you're left with a 7/10 shmup (it's not gonna win any awards, but it's certainly more than good enough for a porn game) and a 5/10 TRPG (the grid-based combat is slow and uninteresting, and I don't have high hopes for future releases). The porn gets a 9/10 in terms of pure quality, but it's poorly implemented to the point that it drags the overall experience down and turns the already iffy gameplay into something that I feel like I'm just clicking through in pursuit of the next clip or story segment. Props to the studio for the universe and story though. Actual dialogue can fall flat at times, but it's not that bad, and there are plenty of chuckle-worthy moments.

The biggest gripe I have is that most of the sex has zero story context and is completely independent of any story events. This works in other games with a more engaging gameplay loop, or games full of once-off encounters that may or may not also be massive harem builders, but not Subverse in its current state, especially with its focus on building a (meme-tastic and hilarious) world and fleshing out characters. You gave the entire crew backstories and personalities, and each member has an associated loyalty quest that supposedly cements their allegiance to the captain. We're going to want impactful scenes and dialogue (preferably with lots of sex involved) that really sell those relationships. The short clips don't mesh with the rest of the game very well, and transitioning between gameplay and porn is incredibly jarring. Also, for a porn game, there's not enough hardcore porn. I want to see more actual fucking in various positions.

If the final product was just 4x what we currently have, I'd happily give it a 10/10 just for the fact that we'd get 4x the number of high-quality semi-interactive clips, but as it stands, I'm more inclined to download/edit a save and treat the game as a gallery viewer with an associated story and lore than I am to actually play through it.

A stretch goal where the original people who pledged had nothing to say. Its what YOU want maybe. Also it doesn't matter stretch goal or not, they could've also made it into an alternative thing. Which would've been completely fine too.
Like a alternative route during the game where the player gets cucked.

sphilia's familiar pulled that off really well but I doubt a game like subverse would be able to write something heavy like that in, even as an alt-route that could be non-canon.

Having actually bought this game legitimately, I'm now stuck crashing on the loading screen after tutorial. Anyone having similar issues or am I alone here?
