What renpy games have better animations? I'm not arguing with you, I would genuinely like to play them.

Not sure about the animation quality but that's not what makes a good porn game, build up, context and eroticism are the key elements of a good porn game, subverse lacks all of them, if you are looking for good animation u can try milfy city the abandoned game.

I concur. The game is not what I expected but not in a bad way. The characters are interesting, fun, over the top but with nicely fleshed out personalities and backstories. I didn't expect that much plot but I found it fun and engaging, it's also fully voice acted with really good quality in 99% cases. The mini-games are a bit repetitive but still fun. You get the tactical turn based combat and asteroids-like space shooter which are nice for a change of pace now and again so at least you're not doing the same thing over and over again like in most games of this kind.
Currently there isn't that much content and it's a bit lacking in variety but I think it'll be rectified with the updates (as some features are still missing and the story has just begun to unfold).
In any case, it's a very solid start and a very good game overall that surprised me pleasantly.

Lets look at rance , we spend hours playing just to unlock a sex scene that is only 2/3 images, and rance has a lot of success. I think they put the same mentality in subverse, a game with porn content and not a porn game

For my taste they could reduce those waves when you go to fight in space and ground
Image is 1 frame and there is nothing like that in this game
Rance has build up for a scene, text in this scene and this scene has different image, not the same loop.
So what? build up doesen't require years if done properly, this game stripped the porn from the story itself, there is 0 context, for fuck's sake there is 0 dialogue, it's dry, boring, devoid of any actual passion, if u manage to fap with this good for you but i really can'tThen there is games that have too long build up too when after years still nothing happen and people whine that too

But in Rance the scenes are linked with the story, or at least the current narrative, like a side quest. There's also dialogues during the scenes.
If they're adopting that mentality, they aren't doing it very well.

Because nobody really hates Vanilla that much as all people started with Vanilla but if you ask a Vanilla fan to be ok to the NTR part then it's not because NTR is on the extreme side while Vanilla is on the neutral side.

Sadly the sex scenes are easily the worst part of this game. They are about as sexy as watching a random porn gif of 2 people fucking.

I backed it in 2019. Pirated 4 hours after first version steam release. Voice acting is great, humor and story is good. Gameplay is ok. Apart from that, plenty of room for improvement. Sadly, mostly in hand holding scenes that the studio is famous for.
