Pretty solid update. The new scenes were pretty good. Not fantastic, but enjoyable enough.

I do like going around the ship to unlock them, though. Definitely beats just buying them in Pandora. It's that lack of context for the earlier stuff that causes me to drop the game every time I try to play it. Is that how FOWCHAN works too?

The only downside to this is that you have awkward situations where there's a scene where two people are readying up for something only for it to be some mild foreplay with not even a cumshot. When you just bought scenes in pandora, the lack of build up to something so minor made scenes like that inoffensive for the most part, but the added build up just highlights how lame they are.

Anyway, that's my unsolicited review of the DLC, I guess. lol

No it was much simpler. just6 had to download it off chrome instead of Windows

The games well made. Just can stand the MC and his antics. I enjoy the game a lot more when the scene is on something other then the MC. Creative differences in aesthetics and character. Again the game is not bad. Its a pity. Hope to see and try another title down the road from these guys.

This DLC seems like post-game content that they removed and sold separately. It picks up immediately following the story and while the Celestina scenes are nice to look at and integrated into the narrative, it all only adds (being generous) about 2 hours of new content including a slog of a ship mission. There are multiple 4th wall breaks in which the characters suggest that this is a cash grab and it honestly felt like the devs were gloating. The more I interact with this game, the more glad I am I pirated it. There's also some hints about more DLC and/or a sequel... hoping they get their shit together by then, but Taron's poor audio quality throughout this expansion leaves me doubtful

despite it all, i still "finished" lol. Celestina's hot

I tried both the RUNE and Goldberg save file locations and neither works for me.

EDIT: ignore my dumb ass. For some reason the save file itself was being converted to lower case and the game wasn't reading it properly. The RUNE location did work.

How did it turn out ? There was a major hype prior to release and the game ended up being a huge disappointment for a lot of people. It's been quite a while now and I just saw the update, how is Subverse now ? Is it worth it after all those years ?

Its a very high quality and enjoyable game. The gameplay parts range from servicable (turn based combat) to actually quite fun (the ship missions) and the gals are all both sexy and fun characters on their own.

The main issue is a design flaw. The Pandora system. If it was a way to unlock additional sex scenes that did not make it into the main game, that would be fine, but it isnt. Its almost exclusively how sex happens in this game. There are in game sex cutscenes and they are both rare and 100 times better than the simple sex doll animation loops that are the Pandora system.

What makes a porn game sexy is not just the sex, its the scenarios that lead to the sex. Struggle with Sin may be half finished and hard on the eye, yet its far better "real" porn game (its brutal difficulty makes the RPG parts feel like an actual game).

This is the universal opinion of the pandora system and biggest flaw of the game unfortunately. The game WAS fun but it was more a game than a porn game because how sex scenes are integrated. If you don't interact with pandora than you would almost not have a porn game at all.

Feedback the dev team got early on but doubled down on the pandora mechanics.

It feels more of a side thing than main part of the game but we had this discussion to death now and I am sure the resident number 1 of this thread Mr. Weeabo is around the corner to defend this again how it would have been a too herculean task to plant the sex scenes organically in the game xD

Reading through a few pages here it seems that the sex scenes are integrated in the game like everyone wanted it to be from the beginning though xD
Maybe the feedback did reach the deaf ears from the devs at this point.

Anyway I saw the update and curiosity got the better of me and I came checking out the thread. Reading your message resurfaced the feelings I had about the pandora system and I had to comment on that. I swear it's a form of PTSD at this point

Because I had to crack it with the RUNE crack instead of Goldberg. Goldberg wasn't working with the DLC.

Don't download anything from popups/ads. Use an Adblock, or just close the ad go back to the orig page and click Download again.

For the most part, I think this DLC addresses the issue with the Pandora system. It would make a solid foundation to build upon for a sequel, which they seem to be setting up.

On the other hand, it comes with another problem, in that there's a few scenes that are kinda meh. Not a huge issue when they're contextless, but one particular scene gets some build up in the conversation that unlocks it only for it to be a mild dick licking scene, leaving the whole interaction feeling unfinished.

It's a step in the right direction at least.

I used it, it works.
However I can't figure out how to raise Celestina's Devotion to unlock the last few gallery poses and animations. I assume I am missing something and it isn't the fault of the save.
