for v1.2.0 sure, but does not work with v1.2.01, believe me I tried.
the DLC scenes were visually there but bugged, nothing played, could not even do DLC quest.
I was using the 1080p v1.2.01 version from the OP before reset.
It does work, I just tried on official steam 1.2.01, everything loads absolutely normal.
Maybe the problem happens because you play cracked version and they are not compatible with each other.

Okay... I know it's a silly question, but I have to ask it because, knowing the game, unlocking the new content (from a save file left over from the end of version 1.0 will take a good few hours or maybe a day or two). Is the Celestina content well integrated into the game, or does it seem like it was added carelessly?

And can it be accessed from an "early" point (I'm not sure where to put this in the game) or a mid-game point (I'm not sure where to put this either), or is it something you can only access if you reached the original "ending point"?

Has anyone played 4K vs 1080? or have a comparison? I know some with some artstyles the resolution ends up not mattering much, because while I'd LIKE to download the 4K assets, an extra 30gbs is rough...

A comment on page 597 shows a the listing info for the DLC, and the wording suggests that it is post story content.

The Captain is definitely the worst part of this, the gameplay is tedious asf sure, but i'm cheating to skip all that anyways. But the Captain's entire horny aussie deadpool personality is annoying from the beginning to the end and their entire story plotline is to be "a madlad" really falls flat when you remember how useless he is in pretty much every way possible, dude is one of the most incompetent characters in the entire game with only the intentionally incompetent characters being even more useless

Exactly. 400h+ Content. Indie Stuff. Like, yk, Baldurs Gate 3, Expedition 33, Silksong, Palworld. Indie games - who buys AAA nowadays lol
Baldur's Gate 3 is not exactly indie. Sure, was made by studio not tied to a huge publisher, but still had WotC attached to it.

Okay... I didn't remember the story that well. In fact, I think I'll have to play it again or rewatch it all to understand it, even though the story isn't that difficult to grasp. But in short...

Are they going to continue the story now in the form of DLC episodes, each linked to a new character, or will they continue it in a proper sequel?

I ask because the DLC's ending makes it clear, both through the dialogue and her presence in the future plot, that Celestina is going to return. So I don't understand how they'll do it unless it's for a sequel. But as far as I remember, wasn't Subverse supposed to be their last work before going back to simple animations? Or have they changed direction and will now focus on making Subverse-type products in the future?

36 GB? Like what? How? Has this game 400H Content or smth?
The game has numerous cinematic scenes in it, so that lends itself to the bigger size. This isn't just a text scrolling adventure :p

To clarify the DLC is post-story (you also need to pick up fow-chan first before you can begin)

As with any game, future content would depend on how much support it garners. They're already committed to adding more things in free updates. But anything more substantial will be from feedback from the customers.

They would like to do animations again, but that's gonna require backing. And no one seems to want to put up their money, despite all the begging I'd seen over the years for them to go back and make films again. Of course it can also be primarily due to the way the internet works nowadays, with algorithms dictating who sees what, and making it impossible to self-advertise without your profile being shadowbanned and your posts hidden.

That said, their website's been under construction for a while now, and we did hear news lately about their own support streemster nearing a deal with a payment processor. It would be a workaround to the fans whose countries restrict their ability to get into and support lewd content. So perhaps next year will be the time we hear some really good news from them.

I see... well, all that's left is to hope things don't end badly. Subverse, although a subject of ongoing debate, is a fun project, and I hope many of its flaws are fixed in a sequel. Personally, I think the foundations of this installment are a bit rusty, and even if they add more story expansions like Celestina's or continue the narrative in episodic format, sticking with this controversial gameplay will only cause the IP to sink the moment something isn't entirely well-received, and with it, the studio. So now that they've finally given their loyal fans what they wanted and gained some "faith" points in the process, it's the perfect time to move to a different foundation. Besides, if other projects are rebooted repeatedly for less in order to "update" themselves, what's stopping this project from doing the same, but in their case, to create a sequel that improves upon what this installment started?

I find it so weird the gameplay is the concern of so many. As compared to the numerous click and watch text-filled choice stuff we've had for decades. They were pretty upfront about wanting to make an actual game, not just something you'd breeze through holding down ctrl + space bar. Even other smut games I do like, like NLT's series of games, are fairly simple walk around and click stuff til you get it right types.

Is it complex? No, but they weren't aiming for that, its their first title.

People wanna ask for save files and skips to get to the smut, but then also complain that there isn't enough context or story behind it. Now they've got it with Cel's content (almost as though they don't have to worry about time or budget now, what a notable difference)
