Given this fairly simplistic game alone takes up 10 GB of memory. Yeah there's probably a cryptominer buried in it or something.
This game barely reaches 1.5 gigs of memory let alone 2 are you playing the same game as everyone else because this is starting to look like bait? Like come on nobody's that stupid.

Maybe they missed you have to press "up" in the shining zones to change areas. In any case, stick to hentai galleries if you can't be bothered to read basic game instructions.

I sure do love spiteful reviews based on skill issues. Yep, the game most assuredly intended/intends to lock you out of the game, especially the full game and not a demo. It couldn't possibly be that there's something not being done/being done wrong, nope siree!
mfs never even heard of cheat engine, nowadays even skill issues are no excuse

are there any other games from this dev? i am going through the side-scroller tag on this site but not a lot of the games are this good.
also does anyone know how to speed up the dialogue, sometimes it fills up the box right away when i press up but sometimes it writes as slow as megaman saying he is not a machine even though i am pressing up.

These pieces of shit really feel strongly about their writing huh, not letting you skip and prompting you to close every single fucking piece of dialogue.
The intro alone was 15 fucking minutes of unskippable dialogues

Thank god for the text appearing at 1/4 of reading speed also

So you like being forced fed unskippable dialogue. Good on you I guess...
No, I'm just not a whiny little bitch who thinks that 15 mins of unskippable dialogue is a chore.

I guess lots of games that have this on the back of the box must really trigger you:

It's an rpg dude, the games that, you know, are KNOWN to have lots of text aka story/lore?

I actually went through the intro again as quickly as I could just to see if it's that bad. Any key seems to proceed but it's extremely finicky whether or not the text speeds up. I was able to get exploring in about a minute and was fighting the witch kitty in about 4-6 minutes. At least interact with the glowing spots about the house to figure out where to go unlike someone else.

Just no on so many levels. This line of thinking is a middle finger to new and returning players, especially those with limited time to game. Imagine someone who only has 10-15 minutes of free time in a day spending the entire time slogging through a story they aren't invested in. Doubt they're gonna risk making that mistake twice.
Besides, we all come to these games for different reasons. I'm here for the Action part of the Action Role Playing Game. The lengthy intro is an obstacle in my mad dash to the twitchy combat section of the game that I like, to the point that makes me want to extend my vacation from the game. Coom brains here for the porn will have a simular issue.

I see your argument, but will raise you this, why even bother playing an rpg at all then? In most rpgs, text aka story is the biggest part of the game. It would be like with any typical jrpg, skipping through the story to get to the combat because it's the more "fun" part of the game. By doing that you're skipping 90% of the game, hell I'd argue almost 95%.

In this game, the text between scenes is not that long at all, if anyone thinks the text in this game is long, don't even bother with most traditional rpgs, they're filled to the brim with text and cutscenes. This game is super tame in comparsion to various other unskippable cutscenes, and text that you have to tap a button through.

Another thing I think of is, would these same people that find "unskippable" text irritating, react the same way if they were watching an unskippable cutscene? It's the same premise, you can't skip it and it's time consuming.

Final point, if you're just here for the animation part of the game, I'm sure you can find a full save pretty easily. You can get directly to the part you want, but then you're missing most of the game, but w/e.

If we were taking something like Monster Girl Quest or FF15 where this ratio is remotely accurate I could see this stance working. In those cases the story and game play compliment each other. That's not the case here. There's no looming threat or stakes or even a real end goal added via the story beside maybe the threat of a stray monster girl raping you in your sleep. You're training to fight basically to make Iris proud. Failure just gets you sent home for the day. Every boss is a is a sparing session with the same minimal consequences. If anything the story here activly makes the game less impactful.

All that said, talking with different characters the world does pose some interest, as do some of the item descriptions. The concept of last human using "diplomacy" to make a remote village into a metropolis is also kinda cool. The differnce is these are extras for the players that want them rather than a barrier to entry.

I only have a small amount of anecdotal evidence from watching streamers, but my guess is yeah probably.

No arguments here. At this point I wonder if save beggars would be better served with standalone animations.

That's why I seperated them. I put the typical rpg/jrpgs in the 1st paragraph, I put this game in particular in the 2nd paragraph.

I knew that the comparison was vastly different, because this game isn't your typical rpg, it's an action rpg, it's more focused on the monster girl angle than it is the rpg and story angle. The story's definitely the usual stuff and a bit of an afterthought, not a whole lot, but a bit I'd say. That's how it goes with most 18+ games, and that's for very obvious reasons lol.

I brought it up as a comparison to rpgs in general, because if a person can't be bothered with even as you said 5-6 minutes, I don't see that person doing well with rpgs in general, because 90%, possibly more, possibly less, but I'm saying 90% as a bit of a guess, tend to focus mostly if not quite a lot on the story as a big aspect, and that's a big part of rpgs in general.

Obviously not everyone's going to like 100% of a game, but so many people are just super entitled, and very whiny nowadays for the most mundane and petty things, that usually wind up being first world problems. It is what it is though.

There's Forest of the Blue Skin which is split into 2 parts as someone's mentioned, he's currently in the process of remaking it but the original is still very much worth playing if you like SA, it has a great variety of animations just like SA. Other than that his earliest game I know of is dream buster Alice.
He's working on several up and coming games but there's nothing more than demo's/galleries at the moment, you can find them in the FOBS thread.
I've heard SA 2 will be in the pipeline after his current projects, so probably 2 or 3 years yet.

thanks for the recommendations guys, btw does anyone remember where i should go after beating the succubus on the castle?
i remember them saying a path was unlocked but i decided to go there later and ended up forgetting where the entrance is.

EDIT: i just realized that the left sign after you leave the succubus house tells you where to go, i never used it so i will leave it here in case anyone else forgot about this
