Lol yeah agreed. August at the earliest. I think Zion might have underestimated things like: 1) He added way more succubi in the final chapter than any other. 2) He actually needs to get the love interest quests somewhere interesting? (Actually not sure about this one, might just leave 'em mid-way for the sequel.) 3) Has to build out the tribe more. 4) Has to put something of a conclusion/cliff-hanger in. Just a guess, we'll see. It'll be good to finally see some progress on the story after all this timeeee.

Actuslly we get 7 succubus 1boss 4underlings 1or2 from other clan for each 6month update. For me it is not that much if we do the math here.
we should have like 14 or more succbuss for 1year and more months. Plus It is pretty less compare to EC.
Hope we dont need wait more than 6months again for SC.

I mean, he's always a little optimistic on dates, and he said he was aiming for end of July before he had to take a few weeks off. So no, it's clearly not coming out till at least august. Though I would not be surprised by it taking till September. Putting a game in a completely finished state is a lot of work, and it might take longer than expected to finish off all the little things that pop up.Will zion release ch5 in july?

I like the game a lot, Zion and the artists do great work, and it's pretty obvious Chapter 5 is pretty close to completion. I'm fine with waiting a tad longer. Delays and shit happens.
That said I hope he one day backpeddles on the whole 100 Chapters thing, and restructures the series to allow for a more reasonable development and release timeframe. It's taken almost 5 years to release the first 5 chapters. I'm glad he has ambition and big ideas, but unless he plans to live to be 100+ years old, with nothing going wrong that disrupts development, it's time to snap out of fantasy land.

You probably missed the news. It's 60 chapters now. One era got cancelled and each era will have three games with 5 chapters each. 15 chapters per era, not 20 anymore.

Definitely missed that news. Even if he said 30 Chapters total, I would still think that's crazy ambitious given the current pace that's been set, which is 1 Chapter per year.

It's so clear that Zion is pretty much burned out or just has the intention to milk the Patreon money as much as he can. Even with the initial promise of giving periodical updates about the development, after finishing the part of writing the H-Scenes and story in late April, there was complete silence. Then late June comes and gives an update with a pretext (can be true or false) that his mother was sick and didn't get to work on the game for 10 days. I'm really sorry for him if this happened, since I was in the same boat with a mother who had medical issues, but people deserved the truth in the fact that the development was halted for two months. . Then in July he starts revealing the layout for the maps, which were, to be honest, like a slap in the face for me. Four maps with bland and generic tiles, which even a newbie dev could finish up in a couple of hours tops. Atop of it all, the maps are symmetrical in sides, WITH 0 DIFFERENCES WHATSOEVER, thing which a developer can confirm is the biggest sign of rushing and not giving a fuck, since you create one half of the map and just duplicate it on the other side. Basically he just started working on the game again at the beginning of July and is probably in a rush mode to finish up this chapter. I guarantee it won't come out any time sooner than September and it will be a piece bland rushed garbage, with some unbalanced fights and 3 hours tops of gameplay, with 0 soul or creativity.
Just to make a comparison with a truly dedicated developer, Torotoro started making Paradox Part 3 1 year before this guy and he is currently test phasing a game with over 120 hours worth of content. I was really rooting for this project because I saw ambition, but that quickly faded away when he released the Ch3 demo which was truly laughable.
Oh and as a reference to his empty promises, check out his reply from way back:
