I can not progress the story it says improve your relationship with Laura first i have her maxed and there does not seem anything i can do with the other characters. Im playing the newest version 0.8.3 and i have the problem since a few versions now.

It's about time we move on from 'special events' and add another character maybe an Aunt or Grandma. That being said I ain't paying so i can't really complain.

Is there a reason to download the 0.5.4 version or should I just download the most recent version?
Just download the most recent version, 0.5.4 used to have events that were removed but they have been re-added into the recent versions.
Yeah like WeKnowWhyImHere mentioned, if you play through the most recent version you can get exposed to the scenes that were initially scrapped but readded in. So definitely download the latest version (v0.8.3)

don't get me wrong, i think you are right, it's just that i have seen so many people worrying about this to the point that not having it have become a selling point
Take longer breaks to put out a decent amount of content instead of releasing just one scene at a time.
