So, just to get it right: Most of you didn't like the endings because they felt rushed? Is that all? Or are there any other reasons why you dislike them?
I feel like endings are always the hardest part to do in any media because people get expectations that the original author might have never had. So I want to know the reason why most of you dislike them so I can do it better in the future.
Taking a minute to answer here because i really liked this game and really wished the later part of it got more fleshed out. English is not my native language so sorry if i'm difficult to understand some times. I found out about this game i would say 1 or 2 updates before the end, so i can't comment on its progress (update rate, etc.). To tell you the truth when i discovered this game i said to myself "this is my type of game, i'm gonna check the update rate and i might sub to the patreon". Next update was the one announcing it was ending and since i'm not into RPGM games I decided not to sub to the dev's Patreon since it was a RPGM game they were developing at the time.
1) The beginning up to the birthday party is top tier in my opinion. Super fun and i was interested in exploring all the available paths. I have nothing to add to this to be honest. There's a great variety of paths and it was interesting to discover and play them. Vertically the game was fun (how the story developed up to the party) and horizontally the game was interesting (from the diner, gym, modelling, Hiro, for example).
2) From that point on the game closed out vertically (from the party, to the office, to the office grind, to the ending) with no horizontal addition (nothing more from the diner, the modelling, the gym) and excluded some part in the ending (for example no resolution of being the gym coach's slut and Jeff's slut). There's also a lock out that happens relatively quickly (Jeff's slut) that has no variation however you may play the last half of the game.
I'm not super into criticism about "the ending being rushed" for a couple of reasons, but the main one is if you check for a Htlm completed game with Incest, corruption and real porn on this website, you get 9 hits. NINE. If you add female protagonist, you have 1 hit. This game. If you remove the "complete" game, you get 26 games. So I'll take a game that finished earlier than what i wanted because it's literally the only one of its kind available on F95
BUT, i think where the game feels "empty" is the lack of horizontal development post party. For exemple: shift Hiro to a full female, bring him back as a man, Jeff and another dude fighting for control of the protagonist, more waitress/mom thingy shenanigan, Cook vs Jeff for the protagonist and Waitress, Bimbofy the waitress. There's a myriads of ideas that someone could have here. Another reason the ending might feel rushed is because of the traditional 3 acts scheme in story telling. If the party scene signify the end of a first act (which it does), there is only 1 other act afterwards.
TLDR: The vertical story endpoint makes sense, but horizontally the game feels empty after the party scene. Might seem short because it only has 2 acts instead of a traditional 3 act structure.
