There's one event with a single unanimated CG that isn't in the "Reminiscence Room" that you can still access in the game: Press X/Esc (or choose the "Lemon peel" key item if you've emptied the contents of your "Own Bag" already) 3 times instead of choosing the "Student card" key item when speaking to the Director to get a bad ending no one else has mentioned in the thread yet.
I opened up this game's English translation in VX Ace to check all the odd things people were pointing out, and
wow, navigating the maps and switches in this is more of a mess than most games usually are: Lots of "removed" content that was just shoved outside of the map where players couldn't normally reach it, lots of redundant common events, lots of duplicate maps, and an inconsistent use of script plugins here and there.
BUG WARNING:
- If you try to use the "Own Bag" item but choose not to empty its contents, it's gone because it's marked as a consumable and the common event executed from using it doesn't re-add it to your inventory if you choose not to empty it. It's one of the first items you get post-intro, so it should be relatively easy to remedy by starting a New Game.
- If you try to use the "Round Key" item, it's gone: Its scope is set to "None" and I guess the developers thought that meant "oh it just won't let you use it," but they were wrong. Just don't use it once you've gotten it- its proper in-game use only needs it to exist in your inventory.
Many of the other items are marked as consumable (and have redundant copies in the game's item database) but you can't really use them up (their scope is "One Ally" and they have no real function, so it doesn't let you use them because the target allies don't need "nothing" to happen to them- the engine automatically prevents people from using HP/MP recovery consumables or skills on characters with full HP/MP by default, and I guess it extends this function to items that do nothing to anything).
I'm trying to slowly go through the game's maps to see if there's any other accessible content, but it's really difficult to tell it apart from the "removed" or incomplete stuff, like a plethora of events that used random number generators instead of the chase scenes in the final product, some actual RPG battles that would change depending on whether or not you had Hayashi (the bandaged guy you pushed in the infirmary), Amemiya (a nerdy kid with a PC that only shows up in the intro now) or Sonoda with you, a Vice-Principal/Assistant Director who wanted your skirt to be longer, access to the roof for materials for a grinder and a rock-throwing-at-climbing-thugs minigame, a teacher who kidnapped you in their car when you left the school, and a police box you could try to run to instead of the pharmacy/hospital where you would get a game over. There's some translated text that the game never gets to display because it calls the credits roll common event which sends you back to the title in the middle of it, as well.
When I got the the "hiding in the closet" scene, it gave me the option to contact 'my friends', but when I picked NO the friend still showed up. Is this bugged? Also, when the friend shows up and you choose not to open the door, the scene keeps repeating itself. Not sure what to do with this.
Apparently that scene is functioning as intended. There's a mysterious switch that turns on when you choose "Yes" (0015) that I've been searching through the game's files to see if it has a purpose, but it looks like it might be a case of removed content: If the original, untranslated game actually features stuff, it's missing in the circle's translation hosted here.
Help i cant progress. Where to find salt and oxydol? I found the chalk dust only. I extinguisher that fire from the toilet and that guy give screwdriver. I can't enter any room except the room that i have enter before.
If you got the Screwdriver, you should be able to examine the vent on the north wall of the same chemistry lab that houses the teacher that told you to go look for the items you're searching for. The Salt's in the room you access by going through the removed vent.
@ponyguy said as much to a previous poster stuck at the same point as you earlier in the thread.
