My hopes is at least in the top 5, which would be impressive for a model that's less than 20b and designed around translating. Though, I wish the person who did that vntl leaderboard would update it, as lots of new models have been released that are much better even compared to GPT 4o

Can you suggest some models? I'm just getting back into MTL visual novels as a hobby after a long time, and it seems I'm a bit out of date!

The best has to be Deepseek V3 (0324) just in terms of pure performance to dollars, and unless you wanna go with private models (GPT, Gemini, Anthropic) it's basically THE BEST 'uncensored' LLM for translating.

• V12.5:
  - Fixed major bug for DeepL, no more delayed translation (show translation of previous sentence) or no translation
  - Sugoi Translator will now be more "always on top". If you clicked while playing game or alt tab, it should still stay on top
  - Added new parameters like System prompt, number of context lines, temperature, top_p for Sugoi Translator LLM in user_settings.json
  - Removed redundant files, total folder size returned back to 7GB from 10GB
  - Fixed Sugoi Translator LLM issue with LM Studio

14b model is 8,37 GB so if you want to use graphic card only you would need 12 GB of vram.

if you have 16 GB of ram you can still use it but translation speed will depend on cpu too.
