I'll use this to post to address the feedback so far.

  1. Some paths being harder to find is intentional. I generally try to hold myself to high standards, so if there is an inaccessible area or a broken quest - it probably isn't, and you need to find how to deal with it in game. There are plenty of cues if you are attentive and you converse with the NPCs. (example: There is a clue you can jump in the river at some point; Inn path is supposed to be hidden and it's only used because the main road is blocked (no wonder why the citizens are angry); there is an intentional typo that will be addressed later ingame etc.)

I'll say I do like the less hand-holdy feel the game currently has, think you've struck a good balance. I'm more used to new games actually being bugged so I wouldn't have been surprised if that old man npc was actually blocking that path, but was happy to see that it was intentional.
