Hello, Everyone!
We're nearing completion of the next chapter. This week we've been going over our to-do lists and finishing up little, less important tasks that need to be finished before release.
Most of the renders for the final scene of CH04 were completed this week, but there's still some posing to do before we wrap it up. This scene also includes several animations, which we'll finish this upcoming week. Exciting!
Chapter Length
There's been some questions regarding the length of the upcoming chapter. Our goal originally was to release chapters of the length you might expect from a book (~20 minutes). However, this doesn't translate very well into the VN world, where people are adjusted to longer playtimes and "one chapter" could be hours long.
What does this mean for us? Well, we don't know just yet, but we are aiming to hit 30-60 minutes of playtime per chapter.
Near Future
We're looking forward to the next release, and the ones after that. We've made plans for the upcoming months to free up more time to work on Summer Heat and see what we can achieve. Especially now that the actual summer heat is finally gone!
TL;DR progress is roughly 92%.

Do people really do this? Especially with more story and character focused games, sometimes it takes me an entire night to finish an update just because I want to really digest what is going on and savoring the content.

They only time I skip scenes/dialogue, is when there is a rather small update and I just want to test the new additions (and don't have a practical save handy).
Some games can be a bit too wordy or just badly written, but this game (so far), is neither.

Yeah, like the above guy pinpointed. When the story is bad people tend to skip everything. This game however, is a crime to skip. Everything about it screams read, and the renders are beautiful enough to just stop and stare for awhile.
True. Sometimes people think that very long non trascendental text = good writing.

My rule of thumb is simple: I'm satisfied as long as the playtime exceeds the download time. Games that offer update patches therefore tend to get my blessing over those that require the full game download with each update.

Dear Developer: most characters are not that unique thus far but it is too early for final judgement. I... I mean my MC wanted to figure out Eve while playing though. I'm sure that you have great story and waiting right time for a sucker-puch.
TL;DR:
Well, I think there is something fishy going on there... a hidden porn lodge maybe. Adult guy is testing our MC's character to figure him out or trying to dominate him; adult gal and at least two girls are aware of the setup IMHO. But of course it is an adult game, so, maybe that is the reason of their weird behaviour (so easy and willing). Two cops are actually good cops and trying to figure out the situation. I'm still trying to figure out cashier girl, she is either too stupid or part of the setup. Hey, don't mind me though, I'm a cynical person. 8D

Yup, best girl for me so far is Ms. Hill. I just hope her persona stays "shy/reluctant" instead of being forward and we're the ones who have to make a move on her.
I need to see more of the cop before making a final decision of who is the best girl.
