I forget their world is only on day 2 despite the fact so much has transpired that it would be impossible to be day 2 unless their world has longer than 24 hour
Is it impossible tho? Is it packed? Yes. Does most peoples in their everyday life do as much stuff in one day? Probably not.
But here we got specials circumstances. MC arrive in a new town far from home with his two best friends into what look more like a vacation camp than whatever tf it's suppose to be. Meeting a lots of peoples, they are all (very) youngs and the guy got dragged to do a bunch load of stuff. Keep in mind that the first game day also end around 4am if i remember correctly it's quite late.

On top of that the game goes for the vibe "make the players feel like they go trough the full day" which no other avn ever do ( probably because it's so much more work, hence why the dev time progression is slow) That's also why a lot of peoples feel like the pacing is off, i don't agree, it's just a different style. The game is purposefully slow, more focused on the vibe, on slice of lify feeling of it, saying to the players "enjoy the ride" instead of making a tight and concise story and it's ok. But ofc everyone is free to not liking it it's completely fine even if they are wrong^^.

It's one of the things I've always wanted to see from the developers, just the thought process on how a day is planned out. By all means, it's summer camp, it's supposed to be short and jam packed. This just feels excessive. Considering most summer camps have the initial meetup starting around 9am (sometimes even later to account for travel time), they would be rushing around all day to accomplish what all the MC accomplished but despite that, he's not remotely tired until after the Jenny stuff but that had more to do with the alcohol (since he got plastered) and less to do with his hectic schedule.

I don't completely disagree to some extent. But at the end of the day it's a game and like all things it's not perfect. Is a little bit less would have been better? Maybe, but i think it's fine. I had the thought "gee, that was quite the long day" after finishing 0.5 for the first time so i definitively noticed (like most people probably) but i don't think it's as bad as some make it to be or that, how the dev go about pacing is a bad thing (even if it has downsides ofc).

I also believe that if the devs would have released faster and more contents, nobody would complain to much about it. They are just a bit frustrated, annoyed or something by it, because there is only 1.5 days and we have to wait so long for each updates.

Don’t get me wrong tho, i'm not saying the devs are not going as fast as they can or that they could have been faster. I think they doing their best, they just started a project that might be to much, to ambitious for just them. But now it's too late, it is what it is and we (and them) have to deal with it. There is only patience now (at least for those who choose to stick around)

The developers said the next update will circle around the main girls, it's interesting you recommend it this way with the main girls first and the side girls later, I can't remember a game that did this exactly like that, it's always the opposite.
Then look at the games in your sig. Most of those games either have no side chicks or start you on the path of the main LI's and then give you the side chicks. Even in Chasing Sunsets, the mother/daughter were left completely open ended like they were originally intended to be LI's and massive plot holes like that really upset people. Every side chick in BaDik? Introduced AFTER you've had a crack at 80% of the main LI's.

Side chicks in storytelling really probably shouldn't even be a fucking thing. If they were worth having around, they wouldn't be a fucking side chick. Right now, this game has about the perfect sized cast. We're talking about a porn game, so a random hookup is fine, but they don't need much if any character development or dialogue. You could give or take 1-2 characters in this story without destroying the pacing. The stories pacing really isn't the problem, it's the speed of the updates. People love what they've gotten, but justifying these long development times is getting harder by the day. You've got 3,345 subs with the lowest tier gaining access to the game being the $6 tier. Money isn't holding this games speed of updates back, so what is? In the case of Ocean and DPC, it's them being too stubborn to work with others. This dev team is at least two people. Maybe contracting another artist is in order. They make enough and would see a surge in subs if they showed more frequent updates.

How dev time is being spent has to be addressed, period (in EVERY VN). Every brief conversation doesn't need a couple hundred unique renders. Even mundane conversations have the renders progress like it's the most flirtatious conversation ever. Every time a character enters the scene isn't a justifiable reason to spend the next 20-30 renders looking them up and down. This game is visually stunning, but it's PRETENTIOUS AS FUCK. This is the sort of attention to detail that everyone would love if it were given to the actual H-scenes. It doesn't need to be given to every single fucking scene, though. It's dragging out the development unnecessarily. The render counts are sizeable, but the overall content per update is comparatively miniscule. They need to be covering like twice the amount of story/character development per update as they currently are. Go crazy on intimate scenes, but scale it back on the day to day shit so we can actually start progressing through the story. It's that simple. This game is reach the point where it would be more easily developed in UE5.
