To me, I'm enjoying the pace and the interactions. The only downer was this whole getting kicked out of the camp bs. And I'm not sure I really give a fuck about this Miller side issue with the corrupt cops and envelope of money, it's all too contrived for my liking...

Did they change the character models in this update? I was playing from the beginning and noticed bree looks a bit different? like she got a facelift?

This is what needs to be improved dramatically. The entire plot needs to be fully storyboarded with major plot points before moving ahead. Only then can you fill in the details.

pacing has been a problem since update 4. I 100% agree with most of your post!!

So the main problem that hits me is how weird the pacing is.
A 10 month dev cycle to progress a grand total of half a day in game seems utterly bizzare to me.
Pair this with the need to actually put something lewd in each update and it makes the dev time seem horribly delayed, and all the sexy stuff horribly rushed. The game feels delayed and rushed at the same time, which is weird? Right? I cant be the only one noticing this?

Each update needs to cover atleast 2-3 days.

In Finland, 10 months is equal to half a day.

I think scenes with Mia that started at the end of last update and continued in this one go against her character that was established up to that point.

Other than that, it's a pretty good game with beautiful images.
If only, updates could be a little faster.

Northpx In light of the discourse around the new update, there's one thing I want to say that I hope the devs see:

There's a lot that, frankly, you need to improve. You need better project management, you probably also need help (I don't know how much the Patreon is pulling so I don't know if you can afford it) with certain tasks to give the two core team members more time on what you're really needed for.

One thing you do not need, however, is to tamper with your vision because people (on here, maybe on your Patreon too) are whining about a lack of sex scenes. Yeah it's a porn game, not high art but if I want a game where the MC bangs a chick every scene, with no build up and little to no story, there are dozens if not hundreds of games that do just that. There are very few however that even try to maintain the quality that Summer Heat has.

This is still the beginning of the story and the development pains are what needs to be addressed so that you can deliver what's next faster, not the fact that our MC is making slow progress with the main love interests and therefore isn't always getting some. It's really not like the game is lacking in lewd factor either. The worst thing you could do is cave to the people whining about this and have the next update be a complete change in tone and pace just so there are more sex scenes and those critics are placated, because doing so would detract from what made Summer Heat stand out in the first place.
